BUSH ADVISOR IN CLEAR
George Bush's top adviser will not be indicted over allegations he blew the cover of a CIA agent - but Dick Cheney's chief of staff will be prosecuted, according to reports.
Karl Rove, who was accused of leaking the information to a journalist, told reporters he would not be indicted.
But Lewis Libby will be prosecuted, Associated Press reported.
A raft of top White House officials could find themselves facing criminal charges today over the leaking of the CIA agent's name to a reporter.
Special prosecutor Patrick Fitgerald is announcing the results of his two-year probe into the saga.
The investigation was sparked when journalist Robert Novak revealed the wife of US ambassador Joseph Wilson, Valerie Palme, was a CIA agent.
Mr Wilson had accused the US government of twisting intelligence to justify an attack on Iraq.
It is alleged Mrs Palme's name was leaked by the White House in retaliation for Mr Wilson's criticism, so ending her career.
Disclosing the identity of a CIA agent is a crime.
Rove and Libby deny leaking Mrs Palme's name.
Other current and former administration officials could also face charges.

I really despise CHUCK SCHUMER! What a dumb*ss! He is now "advising" President Bush on how to run his White house this morning! I really don't like Chucky AT ALL! No wonder Hillary can kick his *ss in NY! She doesn't have much to beat!
"A RAFT", sure hundreds and hundreds of officials. What a joke!
Is there any doubt this was a coordinated effort between DNC and their careerists in every sector of the Gov't local (Delay), fed (Plame Affair) and financial (Frist trading)? How wonderfully timed. How critical to the "culture of corruption" talking buzz-phrase.
Will Robert Novak please stand up now and stop this madness?!?!?
