Someone get fitz a kleenex, he is about to cry.
To: Howlin
I was trying to figure out too. Best I can make out is that he lied to the GJ about lying to the reporters (if that makes any sense).

This news conference can only be described as bizarre. He spent an enormous amount of time talking about Plame's status, which has absolutely nothing to do with the indictment.
Now he is going through Libby's conversations. But he is making a classic mistake - way too many dates, times and people for the average person to follow. It sounds like gobbilygook. He is floundering.
This whole thing is a sham.

On the other hand Fitz there says she wasNo, he doesn't. He says her employment at the CIA was classified.

How does Fitz know Russert isn't lying?
To: lugsoul
They'd have to be called by Fitzgerald to tell what I posted under oath. Interesting technique not to call them, don't you think? I mean, let's not call the people who can provide an actual defense.

"common sense tells me that the husband of a covert agent does not go overseas on a sensitive national security mission and come back and report lies about the administration and the mission in the New York Times and expect that his "covert" wife will remain so for very long."
Well, one of our problems is that we keep expecting common sense, and decency, and rationality, to prevail in this matter but so much of the info flow is controlled by MSM presstitutes and the 'case' against Libby apparently depends upon believing presstitutes who are wrong far more than they are right about anything important.
Fitzgerald sounds like he may actually know LESS about the most relevant facts than many of us on the web.
Shouldn't be too hard for a defense attorney to show lots of "reasonable doubt" on this nonsense at trial, but in the meantime the MSM and the 'Rats get to have a field day.

How dumb was that? Never go to a GJ without having a criminal lawyer advising.

we need a Scooter Libby defense fund - with enough cash to hire Joe DiGenova.
To: CaptRon
The other thing Fitz is showing the world is how lame the Special Prosector role is.

To: dirtboy
This is such a pathetic performance, Fitz should be wearing a shirt, "After 2 years chasing Joe Wilson's lies and all I got was this lousy Scooter indictment" ROFLMAO
To: Howlin
Didn't he just say that Libby was the first to disclose to a reporter? Who Russert?

Please don't keep posting the same information on every page of this thread.

Geez, I hope Fitz doesn't mind if we all wait to hear the DEFENSE.
To: Carolinamom
He claims Libby lied and I'd like to know if Libby could actually be that stupid. I mean everyone saw what happened to Martha Stewart. I'm thinking there are some more liars out there.
