Fitzgerald explaining the importance of secrecy in an investigation and GJ. Says he understands the frustration of the public in not knowing what is going on in the investigation, but the importance of secrecy was paramount.

Didn't address why and how almost every fact revealed so far was leaked continually through the process...

For the cubicle bound.

Fitz sounds nervous.

He's complaining about the alleged outing, but he hasn't charged any outing.

His agenda is showing.

NOW it's OBVIOUS he's a Dem mouthpiece.

Yep, Fritz just proved that he has a agenda other than simply finding the truth.

If her cover was blown, why didn't he charge somebody with blowing it?

It is very revealing that Fitzgerald comes right out of the box talking about things that weren't crimes--as if they were crimes.

Very disturbing. But it shows that this was all about appearances and nothing about the law.

It's a sad day for the rule of law.

Who, what, when, where, why. Wow. Learned THAT in the 3rd grade!

You have to remember that he is talking to the press.

So, follow me here: Scooter Libby is being indicted for lying to reporters, not the Grand Jury. Do I have this right or not?

Thats how I read it.

If I understood Victoria Toensing the other day, it makes all the difference in the way the law that is being invoked is interpreted. If an "agent's" cover is blown is much different than someone who works at the the CIA, as Plame did. And the law that Fitz is using doesn't apply.

Greta is wrong 99% of the time. But anyway who cares for Libby. He was charged on something not related to the "actual leak" itself. Honestly did you know who was Libby before three months ago? I did not.

Fitzgerald now effectively has a blackmail hold on Rove. Rove has to watch every word he says, every person he talks to, every reporter he sees, every act he performs.

What a horrible cloud to live under. He and his family will suffer terribly as long as this deadly Sword of Damocles hangs over Karl's head. This is almost as much punishment as an indictment. Like a slow Chinese water torture.

Many people who have been involved in lengthy court cases know exactly what strain it puts on a person and how debilitating it is to health and normal life.
