"FOFL .. Schumer is recommending the President bring in new people like Reagan did
I believe David Gergen was saying the same thing yesterday
Hmmmm .. new talking point??"
I heard UpChuck say that and have heard several others say the same thing the past week or so. Yes, I believe it is the new DNC talking point. I suspect they know that Rove isn't leaving via an indictment, so this is another way to try get him out (they can dream on). The Pubbies should say that the Pres did bring in a lot of new people - - in his cabinet at the start of his 2nd term.

And to really poor salt into the wounds of the Democrats, the President announces his choice for Associate Justice on the SCOTUS and the choice is.............. JANICE ROGERS BROWN That would be fabulous! Though I have heard that JRB doesn't want it -

Tim Russert on Imus saying that if there is a trial....the reasons for the Iraq war will be the subject and on trial for 6 to 8 months. What an @ss he is.

I happened to be watching CNBC earlier this morning when their Washington reporter was discussing a Libby indictment.
Joe Kernan of CNBC says "no one cares about this story".
The Washington reporter says unless Rove is indicted this story goes away because it is no big deal. He says the "Miers debacle" will prove the more important story to follow.
CNBC reporters no doubt did not get the NBC corporate memo on how to treat this story

I visited my aunt in Santa Ana and I would go to the coast and watch the clouds dissipate. Here, as promised:

If Scooter is indicted ... he will get a trial before there is any talk of jail time
If Scooter goes to trial, wouldn't he have a lot to say about the "who, what, when, where, why, and how" of the leak? A "Scooter" trial could bring down Plame, Wilson, Miller, etc.
If there is a leaker, then there is a "leakee" and I wouldn't think that anyone would want that can of worms opened. Especially if Scooter feels like he's taking the fall and decides he doesn't want to go down alone.
"Discovery" would be awesome!

What happened to Russert? He used to be fairly non-partisan.

Bush ought to time his nomination of Janice Rogers-Brown to coincide with Fitzgerald's announcement.
Ten thousand media pimps and their liberal clients would die instantly from the stress.

Bush could pull a "Clinton" and just pardon everyone remotely linked to this mess.

They're throwing a little fit now that Rove will enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I would just love to see Fitzgerald say something about "brainwashing" the public with their dreams and speculation. and the disrespect that it ultimately shows for the court and the system that made this nation great.
The "Free Press" meant that the government would not hinder a person's right to report the news or print and opinion. With that right comes duties and responsibilities. It can be neither slanderous or intended to do harm to this nation.
Maybe he can't do it now, but I hope he does. Clinton was trapped by the "blue dress" but had he known, Monica would have been found in Marcy Park. Don't forget, Bubba considers his impeachment a "Badge of Honor".
