we need to see the context of what the claims of perjury are about.

Just because your accused of telling a lie doesn't mean you did lie. I hope he can and will defend himself.

It's hard to see how this is just a misunderstanding.

It's on page 3 of the indictment:

"At all relevant times from January 1, 2002 through July 2003, Valerie Wilson was employed by the CIA, and her employment status was classified. Prior to July 14, 2003, Valerie Wilson's affiliation with the CIA was not common knowledge outside the intelligence community."

Hmmm....

Seymour Hersh, who used Baer as a source for his reporting on the CIA in the New Yorker, describes him as having been "perhaps the best on-the-ground field officer in the Middle East."

Salon {Ugh}

Could be our unnamed CIA officer from the Hersch article I referenced in my notes. Hersch also wrote the forward for Baer's book that exposed corruption in the CIA.

I do not interpret her job as being covert when stated it was classified.

Sort of if I work at the CIA (just for pretend); I work on WMD-my job is classified because I cannot disclose what I know.

But Walter Conkrite thinks I am stupid, what do I know LOL!

That's my take as well. I don't care what he told reporters -- dumb to talk to them IMO -- but "if" he told the same lie to the FBI and GJ, then he should be charged IMHO.

For the record, I don't think Bill Clinton TECHNICALLY committed prejury, and I don't think he deserved to be impeached for the reasons that he was--my understanding is that he trapped the court very early in the process to define sexual relationships as plain ol' intercourse. He was a scumbag and complicit in a number of crimes he wasn't charged or indicted for, yes. He was caught at actually committing prejury, no.

I'm relying on other Freepers' comments for the details of the indictments, but so far they all sound like extremely minor quibbles.

Joe diGeneva says this is a bad day for the MSM. Three MSM reporters will have to testify, Miller, Cooper & Russert. It will shut down the free flow of information! GOOD!!!

John Kerry sends in his two cents worth. PUKE! Nixonian. SHUT UP, KERRY!

"I am with you -- when it came out he was the lawyer for Rich, I wanted him out of the WH."

Just a thought, did the WH set up Libby and the MSM?

(OK that was for DU trolls...let's let them think this was really a Rovian plot to rid the government of anyone ever connected with the Clintons!) :)

Supposedly, Novak got his info from "A" in the administration. Don't know who "A" is.
