Rush keeps saying who told Novak?
Should we all start emailing our favorite radio and talk show hosts to interview Novak now?

Clinton has been talking for years about WMD's in Iraq, talking points to the left is that we went to war for wrong reasons. DIMS CAN NOT BE TRUSTED, they are the evil twin of the devil.

LIBS ARE MOVING THE GOAL POSTYep. I said that earlier this morning. I sensed that when the charges of obstruction of justice and perjury were imminent.

What if he did lie to the Grand Jury and the FBI? I don't care if you are a Democrat or Republican or whatever, you don't lie to the FBI or GJ for any reason.
If I am going to attack the Clintonites for lying to the GJ and FBI, then I am not going to give our guys a pass.

Pete Williams on MSNBC said that there is nothing in the 22 page document that mentions anything about the outing of Plame. Paul Begala says he told Wilson that he should "sue these people" (Bush administration). I HOPE HE TAKES YOUR recommendation, Paul!

The world does not revolve around Valerie Plame. If I was a Beltway player, I have a great memory but would be hard pressed to accurately remember where I first heard something that was common knowledge inside Washington, and a minor point at that.
Same here....I know I'm kinda' behind on all of this, and things are still breaking, but I don't see the world revolving around "Scooter" either.

From what I gather, this GJ is done, but papers can be handed over to any other sitting GJ.

Guys, I went to Drudge and read the report. All the charges say is that after he put the info out there, with Miller, even though he new who Wilson's wife was; all he did when the reporters called was say that he didn't know first hand but that was what all the reporters that were calling him were saying. BOGUS. GO SCOOTER. GIVE'M HELL.
To: Seamoth
Whatever... my opinion of him as a fair prosecuter has gone out the window I don't know why. It doesn't matter what X42 or Hildebeast got away with, if that's your issue with this. Libby apparently told a lie to the media for whatever reason and stupidly kept on when talking to the FBI and the Grand Jury. You can't just let people get away with knowingly giving false statements to the FBI and a GJ.

That's why I keep saying "if" not that he lied. I want to know why he talked to NY Times reporters or for that matter why did Rove? Dumb if you ask me.

More to the point why would he protect Miller and put himself in jeopardy?
An affair is the only reasonable answer. I read that Miller has denied that though.
For the life of me I can't figure out how a high powered lawyer like Libby could think he could get away with "allegedly" lying to a grand jury. I could understand - not condone - the reason being that Libby, a married man with children, was trying to hide the affair.
Either he fight the charges or try to plead it away. Right now I am on the side of pleading to make it go away. He can retire and write a book.

White House officials should not talk to anyone from the New York Times, nor take any questions from them at press conferences.

When I was 16, I volunteered at the VA Hospital and that ultimately worked into a part time job. When I left that job, the director of the program asked me to continue getting checks, endorsing them and returning them so they could get the same amount of grant $$ the following year. I said okay without even thinking about it.
The first check that came, I remembered that conversation and realized it was theft and told my parents. We contacted the VA administrator and the police. The FBI came to our house and I gave a statement.
A few weeks later I was walking down the street and that female Israeli doctor stopped to talk with me. She said she wasn't going to be arrested and she understood she put me in a horrible position. She admitted she lied to the FBI when they first came to her, but when presented with the evidence (a check to me for hours I had not worked), she finally admitted the truth.
I remember being struck that she didn't get into any trouble for lying to the FBI. And she didn't confess right away. It took days, if I remember correctly.

You are correct about that -- nothing good ever does come of it!
It is even more ridiculous that it took two years to get to this. What did Libby tell the FBI and GJ that caused them to search further. Being "cute" with the press came back and bit them IMHO!
