Whatever one may say of Bob Woodward, he has excellent sources.

I'd have excellent sources too if I could speak to the dead.

The whole thing is absurd. She'd been out of serious work (if that can be confirmed) for more than 7 years.

I think Woodwards comments could safely be guessed, otherwise there would be a lot more heat on this investigation, and it wouldn't have taken 2 years.

Bob may indeed have good sources, the CIA is full of liberal pussies these days.

WOODWARD: I agree but there is some factual problems here. When Wilson went to Niger before all this blew up, in fact before there was a war, he came back and reported and Michael and others who have read the Senate Intelligence Committee on this know his report was very ambiguous.

In fact, most of the analysts at the CIA said that Wilson's findings when he went to Niger supported the conclusion that there was some deal with Iraq. Now that's, I mean the Democrats -- the Democrats and the Republicans all signed that report. That is a fact. And, you know, there are other facts and speculation.

DODD: That report didn't go into all of that. The report was about other issues. I mean...

WOODWARD: No, but it did. I've got it in my pocket. I'll read it if you want.

If the affidavit filed by CNN and other big MSM hitters on behalf of Miller is true, then this is misinformation. That affidavit claimed that Miller was already publicly known to be a CIA employee.

Of course, people who wish to hurt Bush would still describe the media exposure as "damage", but there was nothing illegal, which is implicit in this article!

How could she have been "outed" if she parked her car in the CIA parking lot?!?!?

I heard Woodward say this and was quite surprised!

Larry, Izzy & especially Dodd were not pleased when Woodward did not pile on Rive & Libby!

I think Libby's indictment is a la Martha Stewart deja vu.

On Scarborough, Gore's 2000 attorney David Boies said that when there is no underlying crime committed....he thinks these types of indictments are wrong.

While I'm not fond of any indictments at least one good thing could come out of them, Wilson and Plame will have to testify and if either take the 5th, whoever gets indicted walks. Even if it's something like perjury they could still get called to "clarify" the "perjury".

And turned out it was quite minimal damage.

This is a typical liberal liberty with the truth.

It wasn't "minimal" damage, it was zero (as I infer from various radio accounts).

There is, of course, a very large difference between the two.

From Drudge:

Karl Rove, President Bush's senior adviser and deputy chief of staff, will not be charged on Friday, but would remain under investigation... Libby Jr., Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, braced for an indictment on Friday charging him with making false statements to the grand jury... MORE...

WASH POST: Libby shopping for a white-collar criminal lawyer... MORE...

NYT: ROVE NOT TO BE CHARGED

NYT: LIBBY, TOP AIDE TO CHENEY, APPEARS LIKELY TO FACE INDICTMENT

You did not note the paper that Woodward pulled at that made Dodd look like an idiot.

Wow, that's important info-- the public hears that and the whole thing evaporates... no one got whacked.... nobody even had to leave their foreign assignment... it was essentially a non-event. Next.

Woodward should talk to Larry Johnson. Johnson thinks the outing of Plame was the worst security disaster in history.

Oh yeah! Woodward doesn't even know she wasn't covert! NOBODY WAS OUTED!! And I'm sick of this media who will not acknowledge the truth about it.
