I'm sorry but one of my wife's friend's husband (I know, I know) used to hang out with Shep before he, the friend's husband, got married.
He's not gay.
He's not gay. bUt what about Shep?......
"I'm sorry but one of my wife's friend's husband (I know, I know) used to hang out with Shep before he, the friend's husband, got married."
Your wife's friend needs to consider the possiblity that her husband is gay.
He seems fascinated with JLo, doesn't he?
I don't think Shep is gay.
In any case, I really don't care. I dislike the gay movement, not gays personally. And the reason I dislike them so much is because they shove their private sexuality in everyone's face.
"Outing" someone makes me think less of the "outer", not the "outee".
Possible
Though I am reminded of 2 friends that I grew up with .. they were a big hit with the girls because they were very good looking
A few years ago they came out of the closet
And you what .... none of us were really surprised at the news
Gotta agree with you there...I have friends at Fox....he has a reputation as being a bit slutty....but with women...
"I'm sorry but one of my wife's friend's husband (I know, I know) used to hang out with Shep before he, the friend's husband, got married.
He's not gay."
If you still have contact with him, encourage him to sue.
Ok, shep... thanks for showing up. Maybe your wife's friend's hubby is too.
I thought he had been married. Not that that proves anything, but if he really were gay, they would have outed him before now. Like during ratings week or during the last election. ADD, probably yes. GAY?
I saw an episode of Law & Order: SVU on USA Network which focused on a murder that, at first glance, didn't seem to have any leads - a totally senseless situation in which a happily married and respected man was found murdered. Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (played by Ice-T) had a theory that surprised everyone in the SVU office: the murder victim was on the Down Low. This theory was true and led to the case being solved.
I had never heard of the term "Down Low", in this context, before I saw that episode. I asked several friends of mine, who happen to be black, if they were familiar with it and they confirmed it to be common slang these days in their old neighborhoods. I just now ran a Google search on the term and found more information than I really needed to know.

What is the "Down Low" or "DL"?
Men who discreetly have sex with other men while in sexual relationships with women are said to be on the "down low" (or "dl" for short). Often these men do not consider themselves gay or bisexual and their female partners are not aware that they have sex with other men, thus the term "down low" or "in hiding".
How is the down low different from being closeted?
At it's core a man on the down low is no different than a closeted man. However, the high numbers of HIV cases within the African-American community, especially among straight black women, has brought attention to this phenomenon. A growing number of people feel that men on the down low who have unprotected sex with other men pose a health risk to their girlfriends or wives. Since men on the dl do not consider themselves gay or bisexual, they feel no need to disclose their activities. Source

I don't mean to imply that your friend or Shep is a homosexual. I really don't care. I was surprised when I first heard of this terminology on a TV show and wondered if any other FReepers had seen that episode or were familiar with the terminology.
That was then....Shep might have been in denial himself. I've always suspected he was gay, he has more PMS than I do! And that's bad!
LOL.
I'm from Shep's hometown. He was in the glee club.
