Folks, lets be realistic here. Does it really matter if Libby or even Rove gets indicted? In the grand scheme of things, and taking their current roles into mind, they are small fish. The election ended close to a year ago. Rove was moved to a position that holds a title that indicates less authority than the Secretary of Commerce.
Then there is I. Scooter Libby. Did anyone honestly even know who the hell this guy was until Fitz and gang decided to question him? I recently asked a lady at work if she had ever heard of I. Scooter Libby. She replied, Gesundheit.
Ill be honest; I had no clue who the chief of staff was for the Vice President. When I heard the name Scooter, I actually pictured some pencil neck geek in bottle rim glasses. Today I finally saw a picture of the guy, I was shocked, he was actually an astute looking gent.
Word is that Libby was ole buddy, ole pal with Mr. Rich of Pardongate fame. Then dont let the door hit him on the way, I say. This may be a good chance for the Bush administration to rid the Executive Offices of a connection to Democrats.
With the Main Stream Media fools reaching a fevered pitch, I just thought it wise to put it all in some context. Rove is pretty much killing time these days. Any advice he has given lately has not gone over too well with many in the Republican base. The WH is taking a beating from its own lately.
We conservatives should not get sucked into this so hard. That is what folks like Chris Matthews want. I have come to realize that, short of an indictment of Bush, Republicans will still be one up on Democrats.
Let the Dems say, we got your political advisor. Republicans can reply with, Big deal, we got your President and a blue dress And for anyone worried about voter turn out after all of this. Keep in mind that Clinton got re-elected. Voters will turn out no matter what. Especially in todays partisan world.
In the end, Rove will still get any needed communication with GW through. Bet on it. And, if indicted, he will be free to mastermind some campaign strategies for the mid-terms.
Ole Fitz will go down as an over zealous prosecutor.
And as for I. Scooter Libby, who cares. Hell end up fading back into the unknown. Which is just where a person who goes by the name Scooter belongs.
Relax folks. Bush is not going anywhere.
.
If indictments are unsealed thursday, let us hope that pardons are issued friday.
/ sarcasm
Well, if the indictments came down tomorrow, the DemocRATS and their toadies in the "media" would have to call an end to their celebration of Al Qaeda's "2000th Kill" so they could begin their indictment celebrations. If you look at it that way, I guess indictments could be a good thing.
That's my take take on it also, I just hope Fitzgerald has the guts to follow through.
Yeah Ditter, but think about it. IF they think they won something...they will spend their time on that...and not an agenda. So when they lose more seats in the midterms....it will be like pulling the rug out from under them.
"I'd rate this right in with Iran-Contra..."
This one has the *potential* to have an outcome more resembling Watergate (IMO) than Iran-Contra.....
Fitzpatrick will live up to his reputation. He was stellar in his efforts to bring Justice to the Blind Shiek who orchestrated the 1993 attack on the WTC
Then we should turn right around and use the CONVICTIONS that were gained on two of Schumer's "former" staffers against the dems. It was a racist act they pulled, no less!
They are corrupt. They are rotten to the core. They are a stain on America.
------
...and if I could put them all on a boat and send them to Communist China, I would. There they could have all of the communism and socialism they want so badly, the totally missing system of morals, values and human measures, and all of the realities that go along with it. They could have thier nirvana of corruption, lies, power and control ---- they are totally dysfunctional and useless to America.
Great Pic!
The DUmocrats will have to cheat in order to eat their Fitzmas candy. It never occurs to them that the 1-5 indictments could be:
1. Wilson
2. Plame
3. Miller
4. Russert
5. Novak
Oh, man, ain't we got fun?
Pass the popcorn.
But make no mistake about it - this is also a test of power. Can those in the media really dedicated to opposition of the Bush administration manage to create a damaging public relations campaign out of pretty much whole cloth? Yes, they have done so. Can it still bring down the presidency as it did Nixon's? No, it cannot.
Clinton soured the system against that. Bush now has, if he elects to use it, a large battery of maneuvers that were validated by the truly most criminal presidency in American history, his predecessor's, including outright pardon of persons convicted rightly of felony. No one in the current administration has even been accused rightly as yet. And dreams of a presidential impeachment will founder on the relentless partisanship that Clinton brought to his defense in Congress. If there is payback for his impeachment, there will also be payback for his phony exoneration.
How in the HELL do you get that?
LOL! Yeah....they have to resort to wearing jackets with arms that lock in the back.
Its 11;20 in Texas, Freepers. Good night.
