[In the latest poll, 55 percent of the respondents said that they would vote for the Democratic candidate if Bush were again running for the presidency this year.]
I'm very interested in what the voting public thinks about things that can never happen, such as the electability of a candidate who is not eligible to run, at a time when there is no election scheduled.
Maybe they can have a poll asking respondents who they would vote for in an election that would take place on Christmas Day in 2033, in which the 3 presidential candidates are Chelsea Clinton and both of the Bush twin girls.
Yeah, that would be useful.

Do they think then we should have a presidential election this year?
Why do people even answer polls anyhow?
I don't know anybody who admits to ever answering a poll.

This statement "A majority would vote for a Democrat over President Bush if an election were held this year..." is ranked as stupid as this statement "Bill Clinton could win a third term"

Hello,
You are so right re: the Old Media running polls about a President that can not ever run again. Why? I truly believe that the outright, in-your-face, make them crazy, it is Christmas if the Vice President or a member of his staff are put in jail, looking forward to the 2,000th military death in the war, hope for the worst to happen to America, wanting the worst for each and every person on the face of the earth, hating the good of each person, wanting to separate us into groups, in order to gain power when we choose to hate other, cast anyone on the Right as Nazi, hate monger, evil bastard, who wants Grandmas to starve, the kids to die from evil Environmental Policy, every county to become a haven for those like Castro and Stalin, all victims are good, all achievers are bad, we will rule over you, but you will LIKE it. There, I got that out of system, until 6PM this evening. Glad to be here, MOgirl

I usually don't laugh when I am reading CNN, but this was an exception. I think this was the funniest news in a long time!!!

"Oh good grief. The unnamed opposition party nominee always beats the incumbent in polls."
That's why they don't take any honest ones when the Dems are in power.

If bush doesn't start to go for the less govt model no doubt the dems will win. Spend, spend, and spend is no way to go through life.

I said if this is even remotely close to reality, it is very bad news.
I didn't say the poll was right. But, you would have to be an idiot to say the political winds are good for the GOP right now.
