Greenspan Successor Announcement (1PM ET)

Currently there is talk in the interbank market that there is a Medley report out saying there will be an announcement at 1pm NY time today naming Greenspan's replacement.

The dems reserve the fillabuster for judges. Fed chairman is nowhere near as politically charged as the supreme court.
Thus I think Bush can get away with picking a good conservative here.
Take Chris Cox for example. The dems blocked him from being a federal circuit court judge but let him be head of SEC.
Market cares about SEC but you don't hear dems demanding input for the SEC pick or threatening fillabusters.
