Okay, it's Halloween month. Time to post your true Ghost Stories...
And I was just about to say it was all BS.
I think that's pretty spooky.
We were visiting the Washington memorial back in 1964 on a family vacation. My mother, who was extremely overweight, was wearing a somewhat formal black dress, as many ladies wore in such dignified places back then. She had already been complaining about being out of breath that morning since we had already done so much walking. But as my sister and me kept begging her to walk up to the top with us, some young girl about 9 or so came out of the crowd, grabbed my mother's hand and begged her not to go inside. She then ran off into the crowd.
This scared my mother so much, that she sat down on a bench to gather her wits. Needless to say, she didn't leave that bench until we headed back to the hotel. Mother has always speculated that this was her guardian angel. It sure was a strange thing though.

"a farm was raided and 31 dicks, 3 geese, 4 cats, and 2 dogs were killed."
What happened to the owners of the dicks?
The husband of one of my friends served in Vietnam & told her that he had seen flying creatures in 'nam that reminded him of something prehistoric. I don't think he was doing any drugs when he saw them.
THAT is a scary story.
AAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
bump for the Friday before Halloween
bump in the night bump!
A few years ago I was working the latenight shift and there were only two of us in the office on one particular night. I finished what I was doing and was getting ready to leave for the night, so I stopped by the nearby office of the other person in the building to say goodnight. As I was just getting ready to leave, we both heard a real loud THUD from another nearby room. I looked at her and asked if anybody else was there at the time. She said "NO, but I heard that too!" We both took off running to the room where the sound came from. When we entered the room, nothing/nobody was there, nor was anything laying on the floor that might have fallen to cause such a loud noise. In the days that followed other co-workers shared stories about feeling they were being watched at different times.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Bump for All Hallow's Eve.
i experienced 'old hag' syndrome many times, but there is a curious aspect to this. It was only in a single house that I lived for 6 years or so, it was frequent, and it never happened since, or maybe once in the subsequent 8 years. The house was built in the 30's. In my case it was just paralysis and a conviction that something was moving towards me, i could hear it very loudly.
I had not experienced it before in my life either. To me this does not lend credibility to 'old hag' as a purely neurological/somatic issue.
