I'm against promotion of homosexuality in public schools. However, what Supt. Ash refers to is not what I consider promotion. I'm not sure there is a reasonable objection to be made to the above.
That's why I control what books I send home for my first grade students to read. If the parents have a problem with a book, they know they are free to call me. I have only had that happen once. A mom thought the content of a chapter book was too much for her daughter (it talked about dying a little bit) so I told her to not have her daughter read it and send it back. It was no problem. NONE of my 850+ books has any two moms or two dads things in them.
That is not the problem. Ash takes the most mild and makes it out as if the Parker's are completely intolerant hate-filled maniacs. The problem is that the school is DEMANDING that they be allowed to indoctrinate your children any damned way they want and if you don't like, pull your kids out of public school and homeschool or send them to a private school. If you cannot afford it, TOUGH!
This is why school vouchers are needed so desperately.
Not promotion? The kids gets the message that there is having two male parents or having two female parents is the same thing as having a mother and a father Pure inculturation, since the child is below the age of reason, But I will tell you that as a former teacher and union rep that for the past ten years both union have been advancing the homosexual agenda. Ash is not being honest.
The schools are promoting homosexuality. Do you have any doubt about that?
