Rep Weldon to give major House Floor speech on Able Danger momentarily; ON CSPAN NOW

Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.
Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.
Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.

Weldon is painting a really juicy target on his own back. There are a lot of dirty hands in DC and both parties will be gunning for him.
It's nice to see some real courage in congress. I'm a little suprised the rest of them haven't run out of there screaming as if a small plane was flying over.

The govt is trying to demonize this Tony Schaeffer guy just like the GOP did to Kerry in 2004. How'd they do that? Where are the swiftboat vets now? Will they come to Schaeffer's aid?

Weldon met with another Able Danger official! He has impeccable credentials. And he told Weldon he'd never been talked to by the Pentagon or Intel agencies or the 9/11 Commission. But he had a leadership position in Able Danger.
He said there's a separate cache of information from '99 and earlier that may still exist.
