Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.
Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.
Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.
"OH, really? Hillary hired Sandy Burglar???
What for? To steal more FBI files, or IRS files on her enemies??"
She put out a personnel wanted ad for flying monkeys.
thank you .. but I can't take the credit
I believe it was OXENinFLA that caught it
I'm sure Bubba had a file or two or three in those boxes of Paid For by Saddam Oil Vouchers in the finds of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I'm more than anxious to see the discovery of the Saddam Trial.
Yes, but now republicans are targeting Rumsfeld, and I humbly think that is a mistake. We should not abandon the good fight too easily, and jump to the enemy side.
Whatever Rummy knew about this was after the fact and too late to matter. But like the Cole, it doesn't stop the enemy from blaming Bush for not responding to the Cole even though it was old news and a cold trail by the time he took office.
So... just like the enemy wishes, we jump up and shout coverup! Even though it was the previous administration that caused the whole thing.
We are about to turn the corner and win convincingly in Iraq and Afghanistan. Unless we snatch failure from the jaws of victory. We'll see.
"Savage was hot tonight,"
incandescent
I live in Tampa, amd I know some Centcom brass.
Without going into too much detail,I can tell you first hand that Able Danger is not a popular topic among certain high ranking folks- one in particular told me that this was none of Weldon's business. Also, that they didn't know anything about Able Danger. I find that hard to believe since it was operated right out of Socom in MacDill.
I just shut my mouth and changed the subject. I believe that there are many many careers and reputations at stake here, and not all are Clinton era holdovers.
Anyone know if this will be re-run at all???
Well .. it's not Rummy's Pentagon people - I'd bet money on that. It's the Clinton left-overs still in the Pentagon.
>>>Did Weldon reveal anything new tonight?
ABSOLUTELY! This is one thread you have to read through. I know, it is long. But we learned that the Cole had 2 weeks of warning and specifics of not to go into Yemini (sp?).
Yet, it was sat on.
By 'W' do you mean Congressman Curt Weldon?
Michael Savage has had the Congressman on his show several times over the past months, and as my memory serves me,
broke the story of Able Danger on the Savage show, or very soon after the Congressman had first spoken to Congress.
Savage has tried to get the story out.
More like TWO WEEKS....Able Danger (according to Weldon's speech) knew about Yemen 2 weeks before.
I think it's essential that I post a transcription so the information exists in text.
Thanks!
Hey .. you post on that Senate thread ... you should take credit for catching that report also
I can vouch for your findings from my experiences too. Silence. Zip. Nada. No comment.
Frustrating.
