Strange bedfellows [Ann Coulter is dating a Democrat]

OMG! Arch-conservative Ann Coulter is totally dating a Democrat on the down-low.
I hear the mighty righty is discreetly seeing a twentysomething country singer by the name of Rob Ryan.
And yes, Mr. Ryan is an out-and-proud Blue Stater.
The two have been spending nights together at her pad on the upper East Side.
"When they're together they're talking more about music than politics," a pal of theirs told me.
Which is probably just as well: The left-bashing commentator is the author of several books with catchy titles like "How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must)," "Treason: Liberal Treachery From the Cold War to the War on Terrorism" and "Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right."
Coulter, always a good sport, told me via E-mail: "I refuse to admit or deny whether Rob Ryan is a Democrat."

Dittos to that. It would be both a spiritual and intellectual betrayal.

No, there's another pic that's not photo shopped.I don't believe that. I've heard he wears a T-Bone Steak on a piece of twine on his neck like a necklace, just to get the neighborhood dogs to come up and play with him.

Oh yes. They're standing side by side. I think he claimed he went to a book signing of hers.

You can see it 'cause it's in your cache. We see a logo that says "image hosted by tripod.com."

She's not bashing Bush. She's bashing cowardice, which is not a vice that is usually associated with the President. Why is he bending over backwards to avoid a fight that he can win--for the country and posterity--or, alternatively, that is worth fighting even if it's lost this time around?
Ann Coulter is saying that this is no time for concilation; it is a time for war: like the war on terrorism, a fight not of our choosing, but one we must wage to a successful conclusion.
John Roberts, for all his polish and analytical prowess, lent his intelligence to the left side of the culture war--the sde that gets all the pro-bono work done by high-powered law firms and lawyers--in a crucial case in Colorado that went the wrong way for truth, country and future. Why was conservative hope placed in him rather than someone who'd earned it?
Harriet Meiers is probably the God-fearing woman her supporters claim her to be, but one who evinces hints of being not too deep. Witness todays headline about her concurrance with Griswold, a stinker of a case if ever there was one. She strikes me as being a Dan Quayle without the conservative spine. Is the prospect of her tenure on the Court marked by episodic freeze-ups in the glare of the media's headlights really the best we can hope to achieve at this juncture?

This is a pretty weird story. I'm not so sure that it is correct, however.
For starters, doesn't this gossip columnist write for a lefty blog somewhere? Fishbowl, I believe.
As another point, Ms. Coulter has not resided in NYC for some time now. Like many of the wealthier commentators, she got tired of paying New York Taxes and went to Florida. She is down there somewhere near Rush Limbaugh.
The only thing I can tell you about Ryan is that I've never heard of the guy or heard his songs on the radio. Liberal country musicians in New York have got to be a rather rare commodity, though.
Ann is far from perfect, but I thought more of some of you who have gone along with this kind of thing.

In addition to noting her persistent schmoozing up to Bill Maher, leftist comedy personality, Ann was also linked by gossip columnists to a well-to-do Islam NY financier, and to Ron Silver, he of the immaculate conversion to Republicanism.
