Arianna "Nails on the chalkboard" Huffington
Ahhhrianna is slamming Judith Miller? Actually, she's right that Judy's story is akin to Woodward and Bernstein saying they don't remember who Deep Throat was. Beauty, eh.
Use nitrous with rubber, and voila!
Every conservative needs a liberal friend who is open about their amoral motivations. Maher is unapologetic about his hedonistic political purposes and so provides insight into the workings of the liberal mind. We must know our enemies. I wouldn't choose to have male friends who beat women, but I imagine it could be fun to put the conservative smackdown on him.
I know that conference call, trying to convince conservatives across the country to support Meirs, was big. Fund just said it involved 13, with maybe hundreds of staffers listening in. So I guess it's possible Fund was given copies of notes someone took, which could prove embarrassing.
"Harriet Meirs will overturn Roe v Wade" they supposedly said????? On it's face, that's impossible. So, it sounds like John Fund got his hands on notes written by a gross exaggerater.
(I posted the Howie Kurtz / Huffington transcript on the daily thread. It IS a good read.)
(Truthfully, I've never been a huge fan of Fund.. nagging old news stories & all that..)
But what are you referring to, I missed it.
I need a listening room.
The good prediction from Fund was that Rove would not be indicted although he wasn't quite so sure about Libby.
Yea, they're friends. It's one of those things you can't figure, like Matalin marrying Trashcan Head.
And Jack Brickhouse ... Hey Hey!! ;)
Rove won't be indicted. Not from what we're seeing of Judy's stellar testimony, anyway.
I am encouraged by Fund's prediction on Plamegate indictments. Fund surely isn't in agreement with most of the MSM. Don't you get the idea most of the MSM is expecting Rove and Libby to be indicted?
I was away and missed part of the Fund interview. What did he say that was pro-abortion? I've heard before that he is pro-choice, so I'm not inclined to trust everything he says about Miers and Roe, but I'm curious to know what exactly he said.
" Don't you get the idea most of the MSM is expecting Rove and Libby to be indicted?"
The Lib Media is salivating over this. Just look at PMSNBC Matthews any night of the week.
"David Frum just eliminated all doubt that he's pro-choice."
There was a doubt?
I mentioned how Clinton's appearance contract from the HArry Walker Agency specifies that Clinton gets all questions in writing 48 hours in advance and he chooses which ones, if any, get answered. Also that EJ Dionne of the Washington Post was the "questioner" at Bubba's Constitution Center appearance and went along with it while Larry Kane, the Dean of The Local Anchors wouldn't put up with that BS when Clinton appeared at his synogogue.
Kane is a journalist, Dionne is a hack.
Hm. Maybe. They *do* live in an alternate universe.
the article up on Drudge, about Judith Miller is interesting:
"....The Judith Miller circus moves to Las Vegas this week and figures to be the hottest news story around. At the center of a growing controversy, the New York Times reporter addresses the Society of Professional Journalists Convention and National Journalism Conference at the Aladdin.
Miller, who is taking a leave of absence from the paper, may rewrite her speech after reading today's Times, in which colleagues cast her in a critical light.
Miller, whose father, Bill Miller, was a Las Vegas entertainment icon, recently spent 85 days in jail rather than reveal who disclosed the identity of undercover CIA agent Valerie Plame....."
So far that's jounalism's wet dream. Only Judy has done time.
Joe Wilson should be frog marched to the bank to repay the taxpayers the cost of this cheap political farce.
The cause of Valire's post partum depression was not hormones, it was that she couldn't face the neighbors knowing that they knew for sure she had sex with Joe.
Wil Ferrell does a great Harry Carey
