Over 40 Years, the US Navy Steel Band released six albums in conjunction with the Puerto Rico Council and the US Navy League. The albums were distributed by the Navy Recruiting Districts and the Navy League free of charge to anyone who requested one while supplies lasted. The most popular and widely distributed was "
Blowin' In The Wind" which included renditions of traditional calypsos and popular songs including Simon & Garfunkel's "Sounds of Silence", "Scarborough Fair" and "Mrs. Robinson", Mason William's "Classical Gas", a rendition of "It Was A Very Good Year" as well as classical selections including Handel's "Aria From Semele", Bach's "Fugue in G Minor" and "Cha Cha King", adapted from Grieg's, "The Hall of the Mountain King". The title song was a Calypso adaptation of Bob Dylan's classic which became the band's theme and signature song. This energetic version is from 1976:

"A Battle Won" Through the heat of the day their hope burns bright
After long years of death, despair and darkness
Hope is kindling
As with any birth, there is blood and pain and suffering
Doubts and fears wage war with hopes and dream
Councils of cowardice vanquished by the courage of those who strive to be free
And Liberty's champions around the world, smile secret delight, as their newest comrades takes their first tentative steps,
while Uncle Sam's brave children add the name "Iraq" to their forefathers proud battle flags
For those who gave everything they were, or will ever be, so Iraq could see this day, "Thank You".
