A similar situation happened to my unit when I was at Ft.Bragg. I think it was 94-95..Somewhere around then. I used to do PT(physical training) on a road called Ardennes on Bragg in NC. One day this soldier opened fire on the PT formation right in front of mine. Some soldiers ran him down and tackled him. But not before a Major was killed and 1 other soldier. It's sad. I remember at the time people kept asking how he snuck rounds out of the Armory. I bet those same questions are gonna be asked again if it happened the same way.
Are they embaraced the he missed? Trained and ready to go out and not kill our enemies?
This is main stream media (Rueters) anti military crap. I am sorry SmithL but the article should be taken down.
US military news from Reuters... right.
I'm sure it was just a misfit white guy driving a white work van. /Moose
During WWII, or shortly after it ended, ca. 1945, an Army captain who had been my 7th/8th grade one-room country school teacher was shot and killed by a U. S. soldier gone berserk, on a stateside U. S. Army post. I learned of it by chance, while idly scanning a newspaper, waiting for a train in Chicago.
Stuff happens.
Mad because he failed Basic Rifle Marksmanship?
