Says Dims are trying to create a 'culture of scandal/cronyism' for gains in the 06-08 elections, with no real proposals. (what Carville is telling them to do)
This is like the old days before Rush started getting addicted to golf and disinterested in the nightly political shows!
You have to wonder who leaked this Harriet Mier's item and what was their motive for doing it?
Didn't Republican Governor of Texas Rick Perry have a ranking position in the DNC in the late 90s? I think he actually worked on a national campaign.
We don't know a lot about her, but a lot of great Republicans have come from the Democratic Party (Reagan, Kirkpatrick, to name a couple). And who of us wouldn't be thrilled to see Zell Miller work with Republicans on promoting some legislation? Do we really think that Zell will go soft? No, because we know him.
There are Democrats and then there are liberals.
:-)
Rush is great today!
I've wondered whether or not they would weigh in on the use of their "name" as a political tool. The FedSoc is apolitical, and aim to NEVER take a position regarding a candidate or a position.
It aims for transparency of process (reasoned, open debate), and I would think the FedSoc is inclined against the use of "stealth" in the matter of presenting a noominees inclination vis-a-vis judicial restraint.
When he is on the ball and interested, he has no peer in the talk radio arena.
Yes, and I am so glad to find this link to listen to WABC. Much clearer than trying to listen to that darn radio with all the static and maybe pick up a word here and there.
They should be recycling the 'Miers gave to Hillary' argument again also. Wouldn't that make the libs happy?
They're not... bizarro world.
By the way, My HOME TOWN, is in the running for the Bush Library.
It is narrowed down to 4 and we are the only state university in the running.... could it be?
TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY! YES! Lubbock Tx 2nd most conservative city in the nation.
Why do the anti-Miers forces continue do beat this dead horse. Could it be the horse ain't dead yet?
You are misunderstanding the point. Most of us look around and see that those who are attacking Miers are mad at Bush about something else(CPR,RX Drugs etc) So their rational is "Bush "betrayed" me by signing this bill, that means I cannot trust Bush. Bush picked Miers so that means Miers is a bad choice" Sorry, but just being mad at Bush does NOT make Miers a bad choice.
The critics are saying "You cannot trust Bush, this is a bad idea" We are merely asking "Why should we trust the critics over Bush"? Sorry you are mad at Bush but that is not a reason for us to trust you. See most of us realize that we are never going to agree 100% of the time with anyone. I agree with Bush more then I disagree. HE has done things I do not understand, however, I am ONLY 1 voter. For me to demand the President do ONLY what I want is irrational. NOTHING in life is perfect.
Ok, I am a No Miers Zone from now on today.
How Mrs. Bush responded to the sexism question by Lauer was most assuredly presented out of context and then used by (among others) Malkin and Coulter (a "gyno") to insult her by saying she played the sexism card.
They absolutely used her answer out of context. Sort of like ABC did with Limbaugh.
Sorry I can't help. I had to run to make coffee, pour a cup, nuke a cinnamon muffin. Missed end of Tony's show, and got here about half way through opening monologue of Rush.
But I DO have my coffee and that's all that matters right now.
At least he doesn't seem to be dsicussing H. M*****. For once.
I've been listening to more Rush for the last 3 months or so, and in this time he has rarely mentioned golf, except to tell us why he's going to be absent.
I've been listening, to various degrees, for about 15 years more or less.
Yes there was a time when he did too much golf and cigars, etc.
Me too.
Congressman Billybob article coming up. (See my tag line, btw).
This is all about Carville creating a media perception while at the same time, the conservatives are trying to get to the best person for the job.
