CONGRESSMAN BUSTS BUSH POLICE STATE
Wednesday, October 12, 2005 - FreeMarketNews.com
A member of the House of Representatives, Ron Paul, who some call the most courageous man in Congress, appeared on alternative newscaster Alex Jones' radio show to make a series of stinging charges about the Bush administration. Paul represents the 14th Congressional district of Texas. He also serves on the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, and the International Relations committee. He is know for his principled stand regarding the American Constitution and for refusing to vote for legislation that he believes goes against the Founding Fathers intentions. Paul is also an FMNN commentator.
He is said to have made the following statements:
-Upcoming indictments of Bush administration officials will be far more damaging than most have expected.
-The Bush administration is attempting an end run around the Constitution by creating a militarized police state to take effect in the event of an avian flu pandemic one that would include gun confiscation and ultimately martial law.
-The administrations aggressive posture toward Iran, Syria, North Korea and China is delusional.
Paul, who is a medical doctor, went on record as stating that the bird flu threat was fearmongering. He is quoted as saying, "I believe it is the president hyping this and Rumsfeld, but it has to be in combination with the people being fearful enough that they will accept the man on the white horse. My first reaction going from my political and medical background is that it's way overly hyped and to think that they have gone this far with it, without a single case in the whole country and they're willing to change the law and turn it into a military state? That is unbelievable! They're determined to have martial law." staff reports - Free-Market News Network
Ron Paul should stay away from Alex Jones if he wants to keep his credibility.
Funny, I would say the Administration's NON-aggressive posture toward Iran, Syria, North Korea and China is "delusional."
What a load...
Like I said, the paranoid style in American politics has not yet completely moved over to the left.

Wow, yet another wack job claiming the VRWC is out to get your guns. Ron can calm down, when Hitlery runs for Pres, the VRWC will be back after her.
I like Ron Paul on many levels, but the man is clueless on foreign policy.
Ron Paul's been in the 'shrooms again.
I like Ron Paul too, he is my Representative in Congress and I will keep voting for him, but every now and then he goes off the deep end, LOL, this might be one of those times, then again he might be right that happens too.
And the world's most powerful Freak magnet pulls in another freak.
Sometimes you don't even know they're freaks, until they suddenly go flying toward the magnet...

Oy. Too bad. I certainly could have agreed with him about the bird flu being overhyped. But how he manages to put *Bush and Rumsfeld* behind it, instead of the same people who were SHRIEKING about flu vaccine shortages before last year's election, is beyond me.
Seriously, Ron Paul needs to go back to the corner where he belongs. The more this man speaks, the loonier he comes across. He used to appear pretty principled, but now he gives conservatives a bad name.
A characteristic he shares with many 'bubble-boy' Libertarians, who despite their insightful critiques of socialism, have no useful words to say about the American State's relations with the even more criminal and communistic regimes than itself that constitute the 'community of nations'.
A while back someone sent me an Alex Jones video to prove the police state exists. All it proved to me was that harrassing police who are simply doing their jobs isn't a good idea. Jones would shove a camera in a cops face while calling him the gestapo and nazi.
The fact that he could produce and distribute his videos proves the exact opposite of his claims.
Let me know when the secret police drag him off to the camps.
Guess he was not getting enough TV time and needed an issue so he would become the media's newest anti-Bush star.
Bump to that! Just reading he was on the show dropped a few "cred points" right there for me.

Sounds like he's drunken a bit of Alex's "the Federal government is out to get us, and put us in prison camps as it helps usher in the NWO and the anti-christ" kool-aid already though.
lemmings,,,I get it now--over here TRUTH----over there LIES.Reconstruction is alive and well!
I like Ron Paul and tend to agree that the bird flu thing is way overhyped but associating with Jones is a really bad idea.
