Ah, yes! The hateful, fanatic, bigotted Fred Phelps and his merry little band of followers comprised of some of his other crazy family members.
He claims to be the pastor of Landover Baptist Church but as I mentioned, his parishioners consist of some of his other crazy, hatefilled relatives.
He's a democrat and there are several pictures floating around the net showing him and his family meeting with Gore.
Many towns when they find out these hateful people are going to show up at a military funeral will gather together in a group large enough to hide the idiots from the funeral goers. They'll carry small flags in support of the family who has suffered the loss of someone they love.
We here on Earth may not be able to mete out proper justice to these lying bigots but I have no doubt God has a special place in mind just for them. I pray for them almost daily in that I pray they get to meet with God tonight.
Westover Baptist Church not Landover...sheesh!
Of course Landover has some wacky ideas but I'm not sure whether it's parody or real. Here's a quote about how 'real' Christians should dress:
Clothing is perhaps the most important thing about being a Christian. If one is not properly clothed and fully representative of what God would want them to appear like... well then, that person is probably not saved. Our motto is "get saved, get to a Christian Clothing store, and get fitted for the kingdom." Anyone who does not conform to the dress code at Landover Baptist will be fined no less than $300.00 a violation. It is a privilege to be a Christian and we believe that it is about time folks started acting like it!
There was a post here a few weeks ago about these lunatics. They showed up to trash a hero's funeral and were shadowed by a gang of leather clad bikers. When the mourners left the church, the Phelps clan was gone leaving only a bunch of biker gang types who sttod at attention and saluted the hearse. They then followed the procession tot he cemetary. When asked why they did what they did, this "gang" (made up of Vietnam vets) of Patriots said "sometimes we can do things the police can't."
Thank God for righteous partiotic intimidation.
I hope to never have to attend a military funeral, but I really hoe these Phelps clods stay away, cause it ain't gonna be pretty if they show up.
