EXCERPT FROM --- HOUSE OF CARDS
House Of Cards
What do Cher, a Hollywood con man, a political rising star and an audacious felon have in common? Together they gave Bill and Hillary Clinton a night they'll never forget -- no matter how hard they may try
By April Witt Sunday, October 9, 2005; Page W10
The caller lied easily. He'd had practice. It was Raymond Reggie, a New Orleans businessman and Democratic activist who happened to be Sen. Edward Kennedy's brother-in-law. He also happened to be in a lot of trouble.

" So we should do 3 things re: Hillary:"
That Open Meeting-Ira Magaziner deal will not stick. It will be passed off as so much old news. You are smoking something if you think the American public will put down their brewskis long enough to pay any attention to that stuff, plus no news outlet will touch it, and finally, there is no Prosecutor in this country that would prosecute that case.
While reporters are searching for facts about Tom Delay, we are giving them the chance to investigate the biggest campaign finance fraud of them all.
If the reporter and her editor, who suppressed facts, think that this is going to help Hillary and make it just all go away, they are dead wrong.
Yes, the other stuff is old news. This is not. She will be under oath next year, in the middle of her campaign. Let's see if Pirro has the guts to use it. I have been trying to get a prosecutor to use it.
Not as well as you do. But Hillary would have been under oath anyway, and if she lies, and a DA indicts her, and the DA can prove it, she is toast. No publicity needed, none. The piece was not worth your hype in my considered opinion. But heck, if everyone saw the same thing through the looking glass, the planet would be terminally boring.
They're all scumbags. Just because Peter Paul has a common enemy with us, does not make him an upstanding human being. Tonken is just plain nasty. Why didn't he help fix Zsa Zsa's house, instead of trashing her? We need to distance ourselves from human debris, even though they can help us in the short run...
April Witt, investigative reporter extraordinaire who leaves no stone unturned, did not think that it was important to report that, shortly after Peter was publicly disavowed by the Clintons, Hillary's campaign actually asked for more money. I guess that April wasn't even mildly curious about the facsimile transmission that has become part of the record.
Peter had to be assured by Bill himself, face to face, that the deal was still on for him to join SLM after he left the presidency. About a month later, they met on AIR FORCE ONE, and Bill made the assurances. April, dear, that really did happen. There were many witnesses. In 8,000 words, it should have been fairly easy to fit it into the story. GET OFF YOUR KNEEPADS, YOU HACK REPORTER! Gray Davis was even there as a witness.
It's not about the courtroom, silly.
It's about the court of public opinion. Let her explain in her first and second debates her felony Open Meetings Act violation.
I guess we can't count on your help, huh? Hillary will send you a nice note.
Yes, and if the WaPost is your primary target, then you will have been pursuing the right path.
Probably won't impact an election, but you might bag a newspaper that way.
The toilet incident was reported in the Washington Post in a 2003 interview with a former detainee from Afghanistan:
"Ehsannullah, 29, said American soldiers who initially questioned him in Kandahar before shipping him to Guantanamo hit him and taunted him by dumping the Koran in a toilet. It was a very bad situation for us, said Ehsannullah, who comes from the home region of the Taliban leader, Mohammad Omar. We cried so much and shouted, Please do not do that to the Holy Koran. (Marc Kaufman and April Witt, "Out of Legal Limbo, Some Tell of Mistreatment," Washington Post, Mar. 26, 2003.)
I hope the GOP can use this article. Ann Coulter actually mentioned Hillary's campaign finance fraud a week and a half ago on Larry King, but he quickly moved her off of that. This is bubbling beneath the service. I hope the WASHPOST just helped it get back into the public view.
Thanks. I did not know that April reported on that. She needs to be held up to ridicule for her incompetence.
The popular of image of a laser beam is that it focuses upon only one target at a time.
Is the WaPost your only target or your primary target...or are you advocating not focusing like a laser beam?
Believe it or not, virtually no one in the mainstream media even knew a civil trial was heading for the courtroom. They did not know that Kendall, thus Hillary, was in possesion of the information necessary to file a return that was not fraudulent. Treasurer Andrew Grossman was in possession of the information. He should have been the one on trial in Los Angeles. They have all chosen to scoff at the law. Hillary mistakenly believed that Peter was never going to make it back alive from Brazil.
Aye, and for a noble cause. It will hopefully be effective. Sometimes just throwing up enough mud will work, after all.
I try to stay more in the "focus like a laser beam" camp, but to each his own.
Think what you want about Peter. I have met him and spent time with him and his family. This is about stopping Hillary. Think of the implications if she gets back into the White House.
Will do.
