Chris Core of WMAL 630 (Wash, DC) is asking his audience if it matters if Ms. Meirs turns out to be gay. He also says Time Mag is going to run the story. What say ye?

Time Magazine? Where a romantic evening at home means you first dress your farm animal in a sheer night gown?

Assume she is gay. The Left will end up supporting her more than the Right. Bush could be dumb like a fox.
To: Dog
I think that a simple, plain straight-forward nomination of Tom Delay (to get him out of the House where I hear he bothers some Democrats) would have been so much simpler.

If TIMES' runs this story it's despicable.
She is not gay because she is a single woman.

If it's a trainwreck, it's only because conservatives caused it by jumping on every baseless allegation the left throws out.

Lead I could care less if she is gay. What I'm having trouble with is the Keystone Kops who are running the political and communication house for the President.
IF and I mean IF this is true...they didn't calculate how this would play to the religious right. Dobson is already on the record supporting her...what kind of position does this put him in..

1. If she's gay, so what?
2. Time is going to run the story? I'll believe it when I see it.
To: leadpenny
I can live with her being gay, as long as she doesn't impose her views on her colleagues, e.g., by having them watch the DVDs of XENA, WARRIOR PRINCESS, when they get together for drinks at her condo.
To: austinite
Is Time going to claim she's gay?
To: All
Look, I could care less if my barber or tailor is gay, but--- List of professions I feel should be held by heteros exclusively:
- Preacher
- Judges
- All military
- Scout leaders
- etc. etc. etc.
Shall I continue? No kool aid tastes that good....

The left is never as viscous as when they think a minority group member, whom they keep around in a mascot status (according to Tom Sowell), has turned on them or gotten uppity.
We have a non-partisan mayoral race in Kansas City. I helped a candidate who was a black democrat for good and valid reasons. You would not have believed the hand wringing and the isn't-there-anyone-else emoting that the active Democrat politicos carried on with.
The idea of "Content of Our Character" ethnic/religous blindness is foriegn to the dems.

I am assume that being against gay marriage doesn't mean you are necessarily against gays holding public office, including the Supreme Court.
To: austinite
Harriett Meirs is not gay.
Only high school sophomores think that people who are not married are, therefore, gay.
