George did the best he could of done

With people like you around ready to tear other conservatives apart for the democrats? Maybe so.

By the way you need to find an argument and stick to it.

She was not even on my radar screen and I am not very happy to have her as the nominee.

Good God, you're really guzzling that Kool Aid tonight! Wow! Slow down!!

I couldn't care less if she is gay. If she doesn't believe in special rights...than it is no business of mine.

Period.

That said...I find it very odd that the left, the paragon of virtue and acceptance, trots out the old gay line every time we appoint a justice. Roberts is gay because he married late and adopted children. Meirs is gay because she didn't marry. All of us are probably gay for one reason or another.

I see a pattern here. And it doesn't speak well for the left.

The ultimate example of press sexism. Racists and sexists.

Those liberals are such nice people. /sarcasm

Perhaps it is "Much Ado About Nothing". I did a little research of my nine year old granddaughter on Hans Christian Andersen. Some of the papers on the writer on definitely not G rated. One silly writer early in his paper related how there is no record or evidence that he had sexual relationship with neither males nor females. And then he concluded his paper by stating that Hans Christian Andersen was bi-sexual.

Boy you really are barking tonight.

Did Chris offer you a doggie biscuit little puppy if you barked really loud?

Can you name for me the last time you said something nice about a conservitive?

I liked Judge Bork. There.

You seem ticked off, maybe you shouldn't worry about this. Why the constant replies? Not so sure of yourself? Trying to convince yourself? What is it?

yawn....

What if she is an OLD MAID???? Horrors, I tell ya horrors!!

My dear old great-aunt Bessie Mae never married. Rural farm life for 93 years. I can remember her well to this day , a faded blue bonnett, cotton work gloves, an overdress with pants sticking out the bottom. She could work a garden, irrigate an orange orchard or hoe weeds from sunup till sundown singing gospel songs the whole time. Would never have thought to ask her if she was gay. When she was dying her last request was to be buried in the tiny west Texas town where she was born 600 miles away and moved away from 70 years earlier. I visit her grave there when I can.

So no, I don't think it matters at all if Miers is unmarried.

Chris Core is a media whore.... And remember, the dumb SOB, scum-sucking piece of crap ENDORSES wholeheartedly the assault weapon ban. He ran a show on this last summer and repeated EACH AND EVERY SINGLE DUMB ASS CLICHE ON THESE WEAPONS A HUNDRED TIMES!! He even swallowed the line about the ban applying to full auto weapons, saying... "These things fire, what, 200 CLIPS A MINUTE?" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the xxxx? How in the name of sweet Jesus does a man his age in his position, doing that job somehow miss out on the fact that the ban applied only to semi auto weapons????? How could that happen????

I remember that. I thought he was a conservative prior to that show. I haven't listened to him since.

Judge Bork is anti-second Amendment.

What does that say for your judgment little puppy?

You support a gun grabber over a second amendment defender.

I am sure Chris, a gun grabber himself, approves. Now go get your doggie treat.

I'd rather have a gay originalist than a straight 'living constitution' type any day.

I meant the distraction part. It sounded exactly like the things the Presidents detractors say when big things happen and the press gets distracted from the scandal du jour.

I'm assuming you are saying that those are added benefits, yes? As good at the President is at political chess...he would never base this decision just on the politics alone. He really believes in her...and was willing to fight the elites in his own party on principle.

In the end, he may be wrong...or, as I am now starting to believe, really, really right. But while there are added benefits, I don't believe this is a nakedly political appointment.

Presidents gotta do what Presidents gotta do. Timing and distractions are all part of politics. It's not a bad thing. It just goes with the territory.

I mean let's get real here. President Bush, I'm sure, would love to not have to deal with the Gulf Coast during his every waking hour for a while. It's only human.

I'm sure she'll make a fine justice but I'm also sure there are any number of other folks he would have liked to have nominated. Politics may have dictated that he not wage certain battles right now, however.
