Harriet Miers
It's a moot point, since no nominee is going to say that Roe was flawed and should be reversed.
It is my view that the nominee who would say that should be certified by two physicians.
She gave money to Al Gore, who endorsed Dean in 2004.
hahahhahahahahhahahhahahhahahhahahahha
Yep, she didn't. But she did contribute to the DNC and Algore. That's a fact.
Meanwhile, scum in human form Reid and other top Dimocrats are "happy" and "relieved" at her nomination.
Are you happy that they're happy? I'm not.
This one is real hard to understand, why would Bush would take any risk with this nomination? This was the big one, a chance to decisively change the foundation of the Supreme Court. There's no second chance here if she turns out to be another Souter, not until another liberal on the court croaks or retires under a Republican president. Well, here's hoping she's an eagle and not a duck.
"At 8:15 am the President is going to announce he will officially switch to the Democrat Party"
Your crystal ball needs polishing..
Rush today cleared that up ... it was Harris Miers that contributed to Clinton
Not Harriet
"Yep, she didn't. But she did contribute to the DNC and Algore. That's a fact. "
I believe it was for $100 back in the 80's ...
In the mean time ....

I have been computer deprived til late tonight..I really appreciate the information..They want to hang her over a 1988 contribution?
Yep -- never know what you'll get dragging a $100 thru the politcal landscape. Big bang for such a lowly C-Note.
She doesn't have a judicial record to attack..and they aren't going to get all the memos she wrote to the President.
from Drudge:
Mick Jagger on Monday night dedicated 'Back Of My Hand' to Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers during DC Rolling Stones concert...
For starters, the further erosion of the 2nd Amendment.....The elimination of recent tax cuts and/or more taxes.....
Surely you don't believe that the dems would control the border & reduce taxes? They would have spent even more than the republicans....and that is frightening!
I agree..that the republicans have failed to reduce spending and control the borders....
Fustration had set in.
Perhaps I should avoid those that hide behind a screen name and cannot debate the issues and can only attack folks who don't hide and can debate.
Perhaps I should avoid you for the same reason as I see that the questions that started all of this still have not been addressed.
I gave to Dean during the democratic primaries - that was, until the screaming deanie imploded in Iowa. Let's just call that a "trojan horse" contribution because I was rather concerned as to what would happen if the charismatic John Edwards had been nominated and ended up debating Bush.
I'm not as worried about a nearly two decade old political contribution as I am about Reid, Schumer and Feinstein's reactions.
Granted on the 2nd amendment. You have a point.
That having been said, I still think it's time that conservatives stopped settling for handbasket that's taking the scenic route to hell. If we only slow the adoption of liberalism, we've accomplished nothing.
Also, I really don't see a scenario in which a democratic administration would have spent more. Spent it differently, granted. But more? I doubt it. Oddly enough, I don't think that we would have been saddled with a department of homeland security under a Kerry administration. Furthermore, as the opposition party, the Republicans in the Senate and House would have been forced to the right and perhaps less liberal policies would actually have been enacted as law vs the rubber stamp situation we have today.
It's hard to say. I just know that in the future, I won't be voting for the Republican candidate. My vote has been taken for granted too many times.
