"Come on. Big enough to splatter blood, But not break any windows? That's not really very big."

Would a detonator make a small explosion like that?

He was into muslim ure. That's why he went over to help rebuild Iraq. He was naive, but not one of the bad guys. His dad is a screaming liberal and he admitted he did not agree wit his son's policies.

The Triangle Fraternity house is at 702 S. Lahoma.

That is the corner of Cruce and Lahoma. Lahoma is the street west of Chautauqua and Cruce is the street one south of Boyd. (That's about where we used to park on Game Day when I was a kid--the KA house.)

The building was called Kirkpatrick Manor and had been a Presby old folks' home since 1958, until 2000 when the frat bought it.

Previous to that, in the 1930s, it was first a frat house, then a sorority house. (It's in there with all the oldest ones.)

Some of the pics on the Triangle website show the renovations to the "Manor." I didn't look at all of them, just snagged the address and some court docs.

Oklahoma Director -- former Major General. He floored me when he said this is a big investigation with a lot of puzzle pieces which basically threw a monkey wrench in the Boren -- he is a poor depressed student theory.

Contiuing saga of missing ammo, guy on ebay told me he had my dorm address, didn't register that address with ebay, told me it shipped two days after it did

Henrich's words, eh? Well...that is indeed a bit bizarre...though I cannot figure out what it means...

It wasn't small, it was heard (and felt) a good mile away. http://lampherephotography.blogspot.com/2005/10/terrorist-strike-norman-ok-during.html

"My family and I were sitting at home, roughly one mile away from the stadium as a bird flies, when we heard and felt an earth shattering explosion. I was monitoring my hand held amateur radio when the local repeater erupted with chatter about a explosion. It was so loud that people wanted to know if others had heard it. I called the Police who advised me that officers were on the scene and that a explosion had occurred but they would not give any other details. Our house literally shook. The ground vibrated with a deep rolling growling sound. This was a large explosion. Not some mere Pipe bomb put together by a pissed off student."

actually - you anlaogy there isn't cutting it - FNC has been all over this boat incident - video, reporters at scene, reporters calling in, press conferences coming up, etc.

you've just given an example of how a breaking news story is NORMALLY covered, as opposed to this bombing.

combat_boots is right. This Saudi camel jockey is the same guy who gave $ 10 mil to Giuliani after 9/11 and then followed his donation with a "It's America's fault" remark. Guiliani returned his filthy money to him (and rightly so). I posted the link on this thread yesterday. Look in the first 200 - 300 posts. I'l post it again if I can find it.

"The buses were 100 yards away from the bomber."

That is highly unlikely, as the buses are parked on a street that is two-lane, but one-way. 20 yards, maybe? Maximum, that is.

My husband, a pilot, got a flight home some months back and was quite delayed. The reason for the delay was a wealthy, beligerant Saudi who bought a last minute first class seat, was holding up the flight, and offered to buy all the first class seats. He was trying to decide which city to buy and was verbally beligerant because they weren't accomadating him. Living in Pittsburgh at the time, we weren't too thrilled that one of the cities he was considering was Pittsburgh.

How did this individual come to possess such strong explosives? Will the FBI release the name of the explosive device? Shouldn't they know by now? This is a very strange case.

I don't know anything about ebay. Is it possible to search for other purchases that he might have made?

The 2nd wave of London bombers' detonators exploded prematurely, but didn't set off the remaining charges, right?

probably just a precaution. Better safe than sorry. CYA is likely a big focus. No one loses a job going overboard in this regard. One bad move and a career can be over.

Okay, can we all give up the assertion that this was a little firecracker pop now?

"The blast happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. on the South Oval, across the street from the Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, where more than 80,000 people were watching the OU-Kansas State football game. One person who responded to the scene said she heard the blast from four miles away."

"How did this individual come to possess such strong explosives?"

Well, he had a message in his fraternity meetings about some ammo from ebay. He might have opened some bullets and poured the black powder in a tube.
