The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Again you post a story written last night. Here's the story with an 11am update from this morning.
"Boren initially said a police bomb squad detonated explosives found at the site of the blast. But in a separate statement issued early Sunday, Boren said it was further investigation determined that the second detonation, which could also be heard in the stadium area, was done by the bomb squad to ensure there was not a second device. "
Prepare for your memories to be second-guessed, your sources to be discredited, your lying eyes to be deceiving, your ears to be in error, your children to be mistaken, their friends to be wrong, your instincts to be misguided, and all this just an unfortunate blunder by one disgruntled individual (nationality unspecified.)
Stange, didn't have to register last night or early this AM.
Any new news on the details of this suicide bombing? Will our campuses, malls and stadiums come to look like Jerusalem and Tel Aviv? Will be be afraid to sit in a pizza parlor?
Since you lived through the Murrah explosion I thougth this might be of interest to you. It is the online edition of Charles Huffman's book Oklahoma City and The Politics of Terror. It has been a long time since I read it so I am not sure how much of the analysis is germane to the OU bomb.

Was he responding to the Fox News Report? I don't think Fox reported this fact last night.
So they blew it up before they didn't blow it up. Is John Kerry the PR guy on campus?
Here is a video from the outside the Oklahoma football game last night.
Lots of fuss for a "simple, non-important, suicide"; don't ya think?

There is no traffic circle on the OU campus, nor anywhere in Norman. There is at least one in OK City, but that's 20-30 miles away.
There is a loop on Campus near the stadium, and that's probably what they mean, but this is just another example of the level of accurracy of the MSM, low of course. Also an example of their lack of fact checking, as 20 seconds on Map Blast, Map Quest or Yahoo, would show the lack of a traffic circle.
This article was posted last night....it is NOT the most recent article. That will be this one: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1495284/posts
Prior to the game, the entire stadium was swept by the expert bomb teams with the help of dogs.
Do you think they do this for every game?
Everyone connected to the OKC bombing was marginalized.
Nam Vet
They did and then removed it from their website.
Somewhere there's a white girl who has yet to learn her saudi boyfriend just blew up.
bttt
Post #1981: "According to a statement from OU President David Boren, a second explosive device was found and detonated. Initial reports had that occurring about 9:15 p.m."
:-D
The terrorists win by creating fear. The only response isto take the fight to the enemy.
I was on my way out, so just wanted to post the link.
Thanks.
