I'm certain that the whole reason Juan Miguel allowed Elizabet to risk Elian's life in the first place was because of the love he had for him.
Operation Peter Pan proved to the world that parents DO love their kids enough to let them go.
And I truly believe that Juan Miguel wanted Elian to stay here, but was forced by Castro to bring him back.
And now, the only father Elian has is Castro. Cuba's laws state that the government has the rights over a child's upbringing, not the parent.
P.S. On a different subject, you should check out the Troop support thread. 300winmag posted pics of a downright gorgeous tomahawk!
"Elian had a father "
===
Yeah, CASTRO.
I asked you before.
Do you think if a kid escaped from the concentration camps, he should have been returned, if his Father were still there, so "he can be with his Father"?
Scary.
Hope you're doing well, Ruthy. :-)
I am, thanks be to the Lord. :-D
Best wishes to ya, CCC!
You're just a young punk who has never known or seen oppression. Why don't you go serve your country and travel overseas and get some apprecition for the FREEDOM we enjoy here.
I asked some of them to go to the airport in New York and DC to prohibit Cuban children of diplomats from taking flights to Mexico and then back to Cuba, but none would join me. You see we have a martyr who should be taken from his surviving parent, but the other kids be damned.
I once knew a person named Reno
Who never once bore a bambino.
She "solved" a boy's plight
With a cruel one-way flight
And used guns to deport the poor nino.
Are you saying we should keep the diplomats' kids?
Of course, if Elian can't go back to Cuba then we must stop the diplomats and all other kids from going back. Won't you join me in this humanitarian loving effort.
Shouldn't each child's case be decided on its own merit?
Good eye. And, note that Castro's hand is right where it would have to be to cover a corresponding strap in his right arm.
I used to believe it was the father's right and responsibilty after the mother died. But the other posters have convinced me that Castro is the kids's real father and living in Cuba is like sending a kid back to concentration camp. So we have a moral obligation to stop the torture of these children.

Unimpressive.
Just asking people to walk the walk. I guess you're satisfied posting on a web site and letting these innocent children return to hell.
It's sad to see you don't know how to debate or discuss an issue without resorting to namecalling. And I certainly have no idea how a father's rights and appreciating my freedom go hand in hand - do you toss that one out at everyone who disagrees with you? I'm sure people all over the country will be surprised to learn that you can't appreciate your freedom without having served in the military first. Pathetic.
I've never seen the series of seven shots...just the one that was most published.
Thank you for posting these!
Marisleysis has her own salon now right off the Palmetto Expressway and 8th street. :-D
