Live from the White House at 3:00 P.M. EDT!
I thought there would be an oath especially for members of the court, just like the President has his own oath.
It's Chief Justice of the UNITED STATES.
John Leo and Jay Sekulow wrote:
After two days of intense and wide-ranging testimony, there can be no doubt that Judge John Roberts embraces the judicial philosophy articulated by President George W.Bush in two presidential campaigns and on the occasions where the President announced Judge Robertsâs nomination to be an Associate Justice and then Chief Justice.
Leo and Sekulow noted that during Roberts' hearings, he stated:
Now, judges have to decide hard questions when they come up in the context of a particular case. Thatâs their obligation. But they have to decide those questions according to the rule of law â not their own social preferences, not their policy views, not their personal preferences â according to the rule of law.â
From that and other things that he said, I feel comfortable that Roberts would decide cases based on the Constitution, not on some social agenda.

Nah, I just think he doesn't like standing around during the ceremonial BS part. Much more comfortable in a flight suit or a cowboy hat out doing something than just standing there going through the formalities.
Anyone have a video?
I agree...
I agree...
Yes, may God bless him and keep him.
***One of the reasons that FR is so addictive is because we do have wit and share it so well.***
I would be happy to share my wit, but I don't have too many of them..
Thank you for that...
Just got home and had to listen to the ceremony on the radio.....What did little Jack do to make everyone laugh?
Wait a minute. We had high winds in Southeastern Michigan last night and some people lost their power. We need him here.
But don't you remember? He is wasting gas by flying Air Force One all over.
It's not a waste if he's flying to Michigan. We are a Democrat State.
:-D
They got an indictment that will be thrown out of court, and we got a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
:-D
Rumor is that the nomination will be Monday.
Condi has a big speech on Iraq tomorrow and the generals are going on the Sunday talk shows to talk about Iraq.
Don't want a nomination pick to step all over that.
Yahoo! Great day for this country!
Joe Farah and the WORLDNUTDAILY loons are gonna be pi$$ed :)
