(NOTE: this is not a joke post. I really did have this conversation this morning.)
=======================================================================
After a brief discussion with a staffer at the office of Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), I am pleased to report, exclusively for FreeRepublic, that his office will not accept any more illegally obtained credit reports of GOP officials.
A controversy was created by two Schumer aides who illegally obtained the credit report of Republican Michael Steele, who is expected to run for the Senate from Maryland.
Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, potential candidate for U.S. Senate.
When the Schumer staffer was told that I had credit reports on several Republican officials and asked if Senator Schumer could use them, the staffer answered, "Pardon me?" I then made reference to the Steele case and said that I thought he might want some more Republican credit reports. He was still taken aback, and the staffer responded, "I don't think that's something he's looking for right now."
So Republicans who don't have clean credit reports can feel relieved. Senator Chuck Schumer will not be actively working with his aides to illegally obtain such information. We applaud the Senator for not wanting to be involved in any more illegal activity.
ROTFLMAO!!!!
Please tell me she really said that. Please.
I swear to God almighty. She did. She really did.
In her defense, she sounded like a dimbulb.
You have FReepmail. Call me.
Bob Byrd's office did not appreciate the time I called offering them new white sheets.
Soros made (literally) billions in the Clinton regime, reportedly with ultimate insider international financial information from the Sandy "Burglar"/ Madeline Albright State Department. It is in his profound economic interest for the rat party to seize the Presidency once again.
If it is proven that they actually did obtain credit reports without the proper authorization and the proper business purpose, this would be a federal offense--violating banking Privacy Act laws (under Fair Lending legislation).
There are HUGE penalties for violations of these laws (at least there are to lenders who have violated them--probably don't apply to the mighty "high house" members of Congress, who implemented the laws!)
We at Sen. Schumer's office regret to inform you that, until further notice, the Senator is no longer accepting illegally obtained credit reports on Republicans. In the future, please direct such reports to the offices of Senators Kennedy, Kerry, Edwards, or Leahy.
I bet you a gift certificate of $150 for Ruth's Chris Steak House that Steele's credit history will be in the MSM sometime during his campaign for Senate in Maryland...especially if there is derogatory information in it.
Important ping to post 40 for possible prosecution....

The occasion was some testimony in the Rayburn building. His staff had arranged for a Marilyn lookalike to sing "Happy Birthday". The slime ball definitely overplayed the "seduction" until he noticed others in the room. He did a change very similar to Clinton's funeral clip.
Great work. I have spoken to a person at the GOP senatorial committee. They may be interested in this story. To think that they would accept a rival politician's credit report and give the fax and contact person to whom it should be sent is staggering.
I just call him Chucky Cheese!!
Of course, after DFU's call, the staffers could have been told to "play along" with anyone offering this information so that they could report them to the authorities as offering illegally obtained information. If this type of thing were going on in my office, that's exactly what I would ask of my own staff.
Anything is possible.
Neither of us had any info. You caught Schmucky, however, willing to accept info by fax in the midst of a criminal investigation of aides. You would have thought Chucky would have learned.
You should have recorded the phone conversation (for quality and training purposes of course).
Then I'd be open to being attacked like Linda Tripp. You are danmed if you do and damned if you don't.
