I do have media player...but the website seemed to push realplayer, the latest version.

So here I sit, everything going really slow (and after an hour, at least, the download is sitting at 49% -I am on a dail-up, wouldn't ya just know.

Question...if I cancel this while it is in progress, will that work? Will the spyware, etc already be written upon my puter?

Just cancel it. If you have a new computer, MS Media Player should already be on it. Will FReep mail you later.
