I am heading down to the Rally site now, to help with setting up - which began at 5am today. I didn't know if someone would post a live thread later. My apologies if I have stepped on any toes.
EAGLES UP !!

Rally to Honor Military Families
I will! ;-)
Thanks, I feel a bit better, lol!
Harry Reid is still my Senator.
I wish I could trade him for
Senator John Ensign.
"I don't know...some GI's make their SGLI Ins to both parents...maybe Casey just put down Cindy...and that might explain it..."
Having buried my Mother almost 4 years ago, I know that headstones are not inexpensive, but, insurance or not, I don't understand why Casey's dad didn't get one. If he's poor, if many FReepers donated $.50-$1.00, he could get a very nice one. Anyone know how to contact Casey's dad to see if he needs $s - I think Casey deserves a very nice headstone.
Trent Franks R - Arizona
We kept pointing out yesterday that we were having a great time on our side of the fence yesterday while all the protestors wore scowls and frowns.
We were having such a great time that the cops were laughing along with us.
FReep mail me if this gets going, I'm in...
Beautiful graphic of the flag.
Reading a letter from President Lincoln to a bereaved mother.
So true...
My friends, check this out..
Executive Mansion,
Washington, Nov. 21, 1864.
Dear Madam,--
I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.
I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.
I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,
A. Lincoln
Representative Trent Franks moved to tears talking about the military.
And thanking those who attended the rally too.
".not to mention our side is better looking!
So true..."
OK, I admit it...I'm a babe.
I love it!!!!!!!!!!Where did you get it, can I have one???
Really. How fantastic!
They had only two congressmen speak yesterday; We are on number three.
L0L great pic!
I also notice that the words of our speakers ameasured and balaced and will stand the test of time.
The other sides arguements sound like the petulant rants of children and time will dismis them.
Rep. Franks - the only way to help evil is to do nothing.
Your children remember September 11th and they gave everything they had to stand between good and evil.
Winston Churchill also warned a world that did not want to listen. Churchill said to his entire nation: Still if you will not fight, if you will not fight for freedom when you know it to be yours, you may come to the moment when all the odds are against you and there is no hope of victory because it is still better to perish than live as slaves.
awesome!
