I can see why you chose the first one.
After all you're not that PC, are you?

Everyone's fine. James has interesting new conversation each day, and tonight he ate some pork chops (cooked all day in the crock pot, so he didn't have to chew very much.)
Last time I said I'd get new pictures to post, he fell on his head and got an enormous bruise on his forehead. Maybe we can get some this weekend, if he avoids injury for a couple of days.
We had a visit this afternoon from a friend from Tulsa, who was here visiting relatives. Nice to catch up on the news (unvarnished :-).
One of Der Prinz's orchids has a flower spike six feet high -- I'll get him to take a picture of that, too.

It's good to know everyone is fine. I'll be looking forward to the photos.
Unvarnished news is always good! ;o]

The flowers are dark purple, with pale lavender fringes. Not the first time this one has bloomed. We've had the six orchids for about a year, and some have bloomed two or three times, while one hasn't bloomed at all, and he doesn't remember what it's supposed to look like when it does :-).
We really need some kind of official plant locale (he also has a dozen other houseplants), instead of putting them on windowsills and on top of the file cabinet!

I had a friend once who insisted on buying plants every time she got paid. Her house looked and felt like a jungle.
I'm a serial plant killer, so I'm envious of people who can grow things, especially orchids.

I'm not good with plants, either. I once had a fiddle-leaf ficus that did really well, but I had to give it away when we moved from Texas.

It's good Der Prinz has a green thumb. At least that way, you can having green growing things around you.
I tell people if they want to buy me a plant, make sure it's something I can't kill.

Ficus are sturdy plants. Peace lilies, those things that send up a stem and get a single, white, oval petal, are pretty tough, too.
