You obviously never saw Career Opportunities (1991). The infamous "I think I broke it" scene. The rest of the movie sucked, but that was almost worth the price of the rental right there.

Odd to think that she is a year younger than me...

I think someone has a thread going already. Been a couple of big advancement type stories the last couple of days.

Good stuff and a lot more noteworthy than what the Lamestream Media are focusing on.

she was okay back then (that's the Cusak movie, no?) but soft and plump with no bones

the new look is sharp and elegant and predatory

there was something similar about using ultrasound to 'splode cancer cells.
this is lasers and nanotubes.
same idea, different tech.

I *heartily* approve.
I have been told that, should I feel truly lecherous, I shoud rent a dvd featuring her and Billy Bob Thornton.
I have not, and I wonder how the presence of Billy Bob would not ruin the vicarious experience.

make all instances of "Billy Bob" into "Nick Nolte"
the same wonderment applies, of course.
the movie in question appears to have been "Mulholland Falls"

I saw a documentary several years ago, about cancer research using heat to destroy the cancer cells. I can't remember all there was to it, but I do remember that it is something the pharma-giants can't make much money on, which is most likely why they refused to accept the doctor's findings.

"pharma-giants" criticisms fall flat when one looks at the ever-growing complexity, applicability, ans success of surgical proceedures.

Which is why I thought the procedure was pretty darn interesting, and still don't understand why it isn't used.

I don't remember exactly, but the concept was that the cancer cells were destroyed completely by the heat. It seems it was LASER...but I could be wrong. I saw it when I was living in Las Vegas, and that was four years ago.

Dang...I wish I hadn't told you, now...I can't remember enough information to make any sense.
