I warn the kids not to do anything that will require a trip to the emergency room, or they'll end up inside doing schoolwork all the time!

Post to Darks twice, and you too will get it!

Is there no reliable source of innoculation?! I subscribe to "germ theory".

LOL! I can't wait to learn how to do things like that!

Prout, stop thumping your head on the desk.

Find an HTML Sandbox thread. There may be a link on the front page. I could find it for you, but I'm lazy...

This was a post ending in 00. Were we not supposed to congratulate you? (Pardon the n00b-ness of the question, please.)

Well, 'close' contact with me - being in the same thread as I am, is one way to catch the typo virus.
The other way is being exposed to my typos one too many times.

Typos of mine that I do without realising it, such as 'teh' instead of 'the'.

It is quite possible you have been infected already.

Your brother had flawless typing once upon a time.
Only one typo in a hundred posts or so.
And then he met me.

Now he can go for a hundred posts, and then have twenty that are typo'd to shreds.

As far as I know, there is no current 'vaccine' against it except time and quarantine.
Prout was out for about a week, and the typo virus seemed ot have left his system.
Took almost half a week or so for it to get him again.

Innoculation:

1) Wear a sabertooth necklace.
2) Drink a cup of Kona coffee
3) Pledge allegiance to the RKBA

Then you are safe.

DC, I'm no ordinary n00b. I am an extraordinarily ignorant n00b. I have only just passed the stage of figuring out how to change my passcode to prevent the children from using my computer account. (This, in spite of the fact that my husband is a computer god.)

Prout, stop yowling about the drastic differences between your protoplasm and mine. Please.

Hi, Alice!
I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing. I think this is the day I rest up from yesterdays' excitement. And tomorrow, I'll rest up from todays'. ;o]

I have no life, so any break in the routine of being routine is wonderful. Which is why I spend so much time here...:o]

(And it's 'Face, if that's OK with you...)

I should have added that I had no idea what you were talking about in post #3405.

I lost my sabertooth necklace. Can I string my children's babyteeth around my neck, instead?

Don't believe him, Alice. With me, Darks doesn't even have to BE here...all he has to do is lurk, and my typos are stupendous examples of Mind Control.

Well.. I just typo'd the word "Finished"

"finsihed."

Finsihed, an armor plated fish with a fin on it's head?

And did somebody say... coffee?

In 12 cup drip percolator pot, fill to 6 cup mark with water.
In filter, put 6 heaping scoops of coffee.
Medium roast works best, just make sure it's a robust blend.
Found a maxwellhouse 'medium roast' that was rather anemic.
Put pinch of salt in filter, about as much as it would take to cover the surface of a dime with one even layer.
This keeps the coffee from tasting burned too quickly, it doesn't age well brewed this way.

Brew, recirculate if need be, usually not.
Add sugar and dairy creamer.
Creamora and coffeemate are not recommended unless you like the heart racing that Ranger Pudding gives.
That, and the nondairy creamer will give you both a headache and a buzz with the coffee.

I usually put about 8 spoons of sugar in this stuff, it ends up being like Russian Kava, thick and sweet with that bitter overtone to it.

Oh, and I am NOT responsible for seeming demonic possession of the coffeepot, or the coffeepot ending up acting as if it has been damaged.

Be sure NOT to add creamora or coffeemate to the brew, unless you LIKE ranger pudding style heart racing.
When I brew that stuff for myself, I recirculate the stuff to brew a second time, but that's me for my own personal enjoyment, and it may wreck the coffeepot.
Don't forget the salt, it's important to the finished brew.

True, if I'm posting, you usually don't typo.
The second I go into lurk mode..

HTML Sandbox means a thread where people are just messing around with programming. Here's an old one that you can look at:
