Cynthia McKinney: A Moron Speaks...Live from the DC Peace Demonstration
C-SPAN | 09/24/05 | self

Posted on 09/24/2005 8:47:47 AM PDT by blake6900

Her opening line at the "peace" demonstration was a real winner: "If we didn't know it now, we certainly know it now."

This rally is a great comedic diversion from the Hurricane Rita coverage. Tune in and indulge.

Well, thank God, nobody is covering it beside CSpan.

Couldn't disagree more. I have been watching these protests since 2001, and I am convinced that if all three networks would cover just ONE of these BashAmerica fests live, from beginning to end, the Democrats would never win another election in my lifetime.

Agree, absolutely.

Of course we all know how it will actually be "reported": Helpful censorship of extremist statements and signage; no mention of the (literal) Stalinist orientation of the organizers; no mention of their, and their speakers', alignment with warmongering, left-wing insurgent movements worldwide; etc. What we'll get is an impressionist account bearing no recognizable relation to the reality of the event, instead reflecting either the Vietnam era nostalgia of the "reporters," or their mindless and automatic compliance with the decades old taboo against "red baiting" (i.e. the prohibition against identifying an extremist as an extremist, provided they are left-wing extremists).

I can't find Link TV, but I did turn on FSTV and some old hag is singing at operation ceasefire. Is this her? Never mind...it is.

My lazy alter ego is tempted to join the dark side. I think of all the money and time I will save on things like cosmetics, clothes, hair, ironing. I can wake up in the morning and throw on some gender neutral clothing, get my haircut at the barber down the street for $7. There are some benefits to becoming a moonbat...(:

If your have a dish, turn on Link TV. Joanie singin' "Where Have All The Flowers Gone?" Lot more people(?) there.

Thanks for the heads-up. I caught Jello Biafra ranting about capital punishment. Nobody cared about him when he was alive.

For all those with cable or satellite who get FSTV or LinkTV, you can see the live concert going on now. What a group of nuts.

I noticed. Liberals can't even have fun going to a political event. If this was billed as the Mother Of All Anti-War Rallies, it turned into a flop. The choice of location, music and theme speakers. Nothing inspiring to get people involved. It was a 2 hour hate fest. Are these people building a majority political movement in this country? When every prominent Democrat decided to absent themselves from this one, I think we all know the answer - and so do the ANSWER Commies.

(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)

Lynn Woolsey showed up to say, "Hello to all of you who look like America." Funny, I thought I was watching the bar scene from StarWars.

She got reelected because she comes from a shitty district.

That's the bottom line.

LMAO...

...you forgot soap, toothpaste, among other basic toiletries. Also, imagine the money you save on educating yourself.

Oops! Then again, I suppose you spend the money, but just get ripped off.

Just think about what could be done with all the money that gets paid to liberal institutions of "learning" of varying sorts.

What was hysterical was how each one screamed even tho they were talking into a microphone as if they fully realized that no one was listening and that if they only screamed louder, that others from the surrounding area would come join in.

In fact, if appeared as if just about all of their attendees were actually just passers-by some of whom actually agreed with the overall theme of the event but were likely utterly turned off by the approach.

It's good to have these people air their feelings. ;)

Barbara Lee, continuing in the tradition of Ron Dellums, show us the high points of being a Socialist. Good job, babe. Not only is she stupid, she's loud too. Yikes.

I'm surprised LinkTV took time out from their "Arabs Good, Everybody Else Bad" agenda to air this. But considering they are the local Al Jazzera (sp?) affiliate, what did I expect.

Christ, she's loud. Who needs a PA? Why is it liberal woman all believe the louder, the more important?

Oh, here Cong. Rauol Whatchamacalla. Whoever he is...

Why can't liberals speak without a piece of paper in front of their face? If this is as heart-felt and spontaneous as they all claim, their words should be fluid and sincere. Yet, even today as Blanco spoke on Rita, I noticed she couldn't even "act" concerned (as she repeated over and over...) without following the script written for her. If it wasn't for some of these representatives staff, I don' think these people could make it on their own.

Wow, there were more people at the Mullet festival in Ft Walton, FL last year than this anti-America rally.

Yep. And doubtless better music too.
