Donahue said it was going to be the largest rally since Vietnam. The other numbers I heard during the week were at least 250,000 and up. When I turned C-span on near the end, I only saw about 50 people listening to the speakers.
I wrote O'reilly earlier today about this. He got into it with Clark and his association with the Sheehan crowd last night -- Clark tried to defend the whole thing; O'Reilly said he's going to have him back after the hurricane to discuss further. I think he needs to really start throwing this in Clarks' face since the pollsters seem to believe he, not Hillary, is the front runner for '08.
So, are some of them starting to see the 'big picture?' I doubt it, but then one can hope some will grow up before '06/'08.
The protest warriors IIRC are suppose to be between 7th and 9th street on Pennsyvania ave. The 7th street camera doesn't work for me though and 9th street just has a bunch of cops on it.
Someone needs to email O'Reilly and remind him what Donohue said vs how many were there... BTW -- did Donahue speak??? I'd send the email, but already emailed him today about Sheehan/Clark.
Doug, this was the ONLY way to watch that goon fest. I gave up on the CSpan visual in about 10 minutes. Gave me heartburn. Thanks to all the witty Freepers for giving me a much better visual report. Did me heart good it did.
Yahoo News had the rally at tens of thousands, not I can't even find it as a headline...curious.
They should go protest the Gulf Of Mexico, which is now currently occupying that city.
Yeah, the ABC "News" Radio guy at the top of the hour sounded like he was in the middle of a sexual act. He was all excited and breathless, kind had to wonder what protest he was at, the crowd he was "reporting" was NO WHERE to be seen in the cameras. Kind wonder if he was even there or if he pulled a Jason Blair.
I tuned in CSPAN and I almost fell off my chair in laughter. These Communists are laughing stock material!
For this "diverse" protest I sure see a whole lot of fat, ugly upper middle class white people.
CNN's website says "more than 2000". So much for a quarter million..
