JUST HEARD ON 750AM IN ATLANTA THAT THIS HURRICAN WILL BE A CAT 4 BY 2PM TOMORROW.......
I AM TELLING IF ITS GAINING LIKE THIS ITS GOING TO BE A VERY STRONG CAT 5 BY THE TIME ITS HITS LAND. A DIRECT HIT TO WHEREEVER IT GOES IS GOING TO BAD...
EXPECT GAS TO BE UP ANOTHER $1 OR TWO NEXT WEEK.
Gotta love Bellsouth DSL. Main reason I stuck with it is Comcast cable goes out all the time.
2 PM EDT position...23.9 N... 81.7 W. Movement
toward...west near 15 mph. Maximum sustained winds...100 mph.
Minimum central pressure... 978 mb.
I think it was a given that it would get that strong, considering the warm water. But, this wasn't the CNN weather guy. It was CNN quoting the National Weather Service. Even though it was expected to get stronger it's still shocking to hear though isn't it?
Mandatory evacuation for Galveston
LOL. You bad.
Of course, as a woman, I can never have too many pairs of shoes. Do you have time to try them on or just grab and run?
I switched from FOX to CNN as FOX broke from the news conference. Honore has not spoken yet but I hope he does soon. hehehehe. Mayor Nagin Gave Admiral Allen a tee shirt "I LOVE NEW ORLEANS."
I doubt it'll be CAT5 at landfall. I hope this thing pulls a Danny to be honest. Or hit King Ranch, where Brett hit.
Oh no.
Please...control your caps.
I hope you are not a prophet,,,,I am seriously getting worried,,,,,,
I'm still using a Generac my dad bought in 1979 after Fredric. Runs great. I just ran it for five days straight after Katrina. (starting to use a little oil though.)
The eye isn't well defined yet. It will be interesting to see what happens to it once it enters the Gulf....
Nauti,
Did you in your wildest dreams think you would be hosting a hurricane thread like this so soon again?
I believe the sky really IS falling!
You noticed that too???
I thought Nagin sounded like a different person today...good for him.
BTW...John Gibson just announced that the Mayor of Galveston has ordered a MANDATORY evacuation of Galveston.
I'm formalizing my looting plans,,,,,shoot em,,,I swear they come in my yard I will
I hope you are right and I am wrong...
