"True Christians would not lie to cover up for their criminal negligence and failures leading up to the attacks of the 11th September 2001, which killed thousands of innocents."

Billy Boy is the guilty party.

His prideful butt was too busy pursuing the Nobel Peace Prize to take care of business.

He had bin Laden in his sights and let him go.

Tell us again, whose fault is it?

I apologize to all Iraqi's killed by Saddam between 1991 and 2002 that we didn't kick his butt out of power sooner.

Of four Divinely established institutions, national governance was attacked in thought, decision and behavior by Saddam Hussein. That institution is designed for believer and unbeliever alike to live within proper authority. The US defense of that basic institution is now returning the same institution of government, as well as family, marriage, and individual dominion to all Iraqis via their own dominion.

Those radical terrorists were also attracted to that local upon our seizure of that land. This also meets US strategic defense of global interests including the defense of its population from unwarranted criminal behavior.

Until the Anglican community denounces socialism and supports the divine insitution of national governance of other peoples, they still have a great deal of sanctification to work out.

But to be fair, if Saddam had gotten the sanctions lifted and had then nuked Tel Aviv and invaded Saudi Arabia and taken over the oil fields (or set them on fire), perhaps the Anglican Church would have demanded an apology from British and Americans for not stopping Saddam.

So they are evenhanded, in a sense.

Bishops of the Church of England are calling for Christian leaders in Britain to publicly apologize for the war in Iraq and its aftermath.

Anglican members call for their Bishops to stay out of politics or risk losing many more members.

A true Christian is a follower of Christ and wants his word spread far and wide. Does this mean you are a true Christian and will join in the fight to keep the Ten Commandments in PUBLIC view?

Apologize for what? Freeing 25 million people? Capturing Saddam and killing his sons, thus ridding the world of some of the most despicable tyrants? Fighting terrorists who are trying to overrun a now free nation?

No, I don't think anyone should apologize for that. Instead, true Christians should be rejoicing that there are still some who believe in fighting evil.

True Christians would not lie to cover up for their criminal negligence and failures leading up to the attacks of the 11th September 2001, which killed thousands of innocents.

I really don't think Xlinton is a Christian. He worshiped the pagan phallus, I believe (note kneeling supplicants). We're just having a hard time forgiving him.

True Christians would not ignore other countries human rights abuses, in order to get their support for a so called "war on terror".

Mmmm-kay. Well, which is it, young feller? I thought we were unilateral, and didn't have any other country's support.

True Christians would not lie, and decieve[sic] their people into believing that another nation posed a "clear and present danger" in order to initiate an attack on another nation which would kill innocent people.

Remember, skeezix, YOU put "clear and present danger" in quotes. Who are you quoting? Certainly not President Bush. I believe you got this one from the Kool-Aid Fax Talking Paper Distributors. And I believe you forgot to say one of your cult's favorite imaginary adjectives: "Eminent." You didn't mention Halliburton, but you may be new at this. I'll let it pass this time.

True Christians would not ignore torture and abuse, and would not attempt to make excuses for the scumbags who carry out that torture and abuse, and those who ordered people to torture and abuse captives.

Ummm -- we didn't ignore torture and abuse. Saddam is in jail. His two worthless wastrel sons are dead. We closed down the rape rooms. A new mass grave has NOT been started since...well, I guess you could say since before we were there.

True Christians would not argue about legal niceties, or their role in helping their own countrymen, women and children following a natural disaster. They would offer their help unconditionally.

Yes, that is quite true. Blanco and Nagin really don't seem like Christians, do they? And I thought Louisiana was a predominantly a Catholic state, too.

True Christians would not deny help for those in need.

See previous post, dear.

True Christians would speak out against those who speak with a forked tongue. When those who claim to be Christians don't act in a Christian manner, then Christian leaders must speak out. Church of England Bishops have called on Christian leaders to speak out and publicly apologize for the Iraq war. It's long past time for true Christians to speak up.

Your "Christian leaders" can do whatever they please. Our secular government (which happens to be run by a Christian man), is prohibited by our Constitution to be run by the Church, "of England" or "of any other country"

Also from this same linked article:

Bishops of the Church of England are calling for Christian leaders in Britain to publicly apologize for the war in Iraq and its aftermath.

The bishops say the British government is not likely to show remorse, so the churches should.

The proposal for a public apology comes in a new report, in which the bishops plead for more understanding of what motivates terrorists.

We were nice for 8 years of terrorism and turned the other cheek. They attacked us anyway. REMEMBER, WE WERE NOT IN IRAQ ON 9/11/01.

The report criticizes Western democracies as deeply flawed and accuses the United States of dangerous expansionism.

EXPANSIONISM? It's funny that Brits want to scold others on EXPANSIONISM. Don't admonish us on this one. Obviously we're not as versed in colonial behavior as you are.

The bishops cite a long litany of errors in the West's handling of Iraq -- including its past support for Saddam Hussein, its willingness to sell him weapons and the suffering caused to the Iraqi people by sanctions.

The whole Saddam thing was in a vastly different milieu. Soviets were involved, remember?

Yes, sanctions. PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't sanctions usually the method of bleeding-heart types that want to want to initiate a non-violent persuasion.

And let's discuss Oil-For-Food-Money-For-Kofi. Or not. You must be so tired by now.

However, the bishops say it would be irresponsible to withdraw British troops until there is a secure Iraqi regime in place.

Well, then, Zippy -- what is the point of all this?
