I think many people understand how much the servicemen and women appreciate the Freeps, and I've said thanks before, but I don't know if ya'll REALLY know how much it's appreciated. These demonstrations really didn't take on a life of their own until Kerry didn't grab the White House, did they?
His sweetheart was a frosh last year at CH when our Marine was at Parris Island, and walking across campus one early evening, two men appeared, walking toward her and she got the willies. (Yes, she got a stern lecture for walking alone.) She didn't know what to do when something caught attention out of the corner of her eye. She looked off to the side, and there appeared out of nowhere, a Marine in uniform. She looked back at the two men, couldn't believe what she'd seen, looked back at the Marine to see if she was dreaming. He walked straight toward her, the other two veered away, locked eyes with her and smiled.
