If Roberts was a more antagonistic person, he might well have explained that our Founders did indeed establish a mechanism by which Supreme Court Justices may be appointed without answering questions. The mechanism is that the President nominate the person and the Senate by majority vote consents to that appointment. There is no requirement that questions be asked or answered.

Biden and the other liberals just don't like the answer. Elections have consequences.
