Serbian government prepared to assist threatened population in US south

Belgrade, September 9, 2005 – Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic today sent a letter to US Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro Michael Polt, in accordance with the decision yesterday by the Serbian government to dispatch aid to the citizens of New Orleans.

In a letter to the US Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro, the Serbian government, the Serbian Ministry of Health and all state institutions, expressed preparedness to assist the threatened population in the US south, hit by hurricane Katrina.

There exists a possibility to organise the recruitment of medical teams, consisting of experts with a great deal of work experience in post-conflict situations and tropical conditions. In addition, the Serbian Red Cross is placing at disposal all its resources, reads the statement.

The Serbian government expressed its sympathies for the great loss in the catastrophe that struck several states in the southern US, reads the statement, addressed by Minister Tomica Milosavljevic.

The Serbian government, at its session yesterday, passed a decision on dispatching aid to the citizens of New Orleans and entrusted the Serbian Ministry of Health to contact the US Embassy in Serbia-Montenegro and offer the necessary assistance.

The Serbian people saved countless American pilots downed behind enemy lines during WWII --- Thousands of Serbs DIED fighting the Social DEMOCRAT Party (NAZI) stormtroopers with little more than farm implements against machine guns.

Tens of thousands of Serbians have emigrated to the United States even prior to WWI and have serve honorable and bravely in the US Armed Forces -- My Grandfather was a U.S.Army Engineer in France in WWI -- He received his citizenship in Memphis Tenn when he returned from Europe.

And the thanks they received from Wet-Willie and general franko Clark? Murder by Air! All to appease Osama-Bin-Laden's heroin trade.

You nailed that one! I'm amazed any Serbian would lift a finger to help us.

Imagine that. We tried to slaughter them to protect our Muslim friends and now they help us. Excellent illustration of forgiveness while all the while Muslim nations strangle our oil supply.

Including Madeline Albright, who returned the favor by pushing for the bombing of Yugoslavia!

During WW2, Yugoslavia (ie. the Serbs) mounted a resistance campaign against the Germans and Italians that was so successful that they actually managed to steal a number of tanks and turn them against their former owners.

After the war, Tito, a communist but not a fan of Stalin and the USSR, managed to keep Yugoslavia out of the Warsaw Pact, thus creating a fairly calm southern border for NATO during the hottest days of the Cold War.

These people are brave, courageous, and honorable. They have a history of fighting as the underdog going back to the Roman Empire and look to continue that tradition for many years to come. In addition, they also have a close little brother-big brother relationship with Russia dating back to the 1800's. If the United States would extend the hand of friendship to Serbia, I think it would go a long way toward calming that volatile region and would probably improve our relations with Russia while we're at it.

I have a great aunt who was a little girl still in the "old country" back in WWII and she told me about the NAZI's coming around and dragging the males out of the houses and shooting them. She said we lost about 1/2 our family during WWII.

I wonder how many were killed in Sarajevo this time around by Clark & Clinton?

I am glad my grandfather was not around to see the day this country attacked his homeland.

Our family name was Stiplosek

My grandfather, as was the custom back then, "Americanized" the name when he received his citizenship after WWI

To the Serbian government and her people: I am overwhelmed by your decision to offer aid and comfort. Not only is this the act of a civil society following the rule of law, you have followed a higher law. Sending my appreciation for your gift.
