I am planning to attend! Would like to stay in DC the night of Sept. 24th but am getting 'no rooms available'. Need suggestions on an accommodation in close proximity to activities for that night. Thank you in advance for suggestions.
"Same here."
I'm having the same problem. If anyone hears of anything, please ping me.

Great work organizing our participation and coordinating with the other groups.

Try Northern Virginia. Locations like Manassas, Centerville, Falls Church, Springfield, Alexandria, Arlington.

Anyone going to be there tomorrow to protest their Bushville, DC 9/11 plans to screw up the Freedom Walk?
If you don't want to know how low those pukes will go avoid their hippy website. I'm not going to quote any of the crap there.
http://www.bushville.org
I live a week's mule-ride from DC so I won't be there.

Anybody looking for lodging, get a map of the surrounding area. You can stay in any number of outlying towns and drive to the nearest Metro station. You can get info on the Metro online here:(sorry I don't know how to make a link)
http://www.stationmasters.com/System_Map/system_map.html
It's really easy to travel by Metro. It's amazingly clean and efficient.

Vienna in Northern VA is the end of the metro line. The exit from 66 goes directly into the parking area...and lots of it!
Check that area and the cars will be empty when starting for DC!!
Maybe someone else has told you that.

Not This Day
written by Frances Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Stephen Sinclair, and Peter Jackson, from the novel by J.R.R. Tolkien
Aragorn: Hold your ground, hold your ground. Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day. This day we fight! For all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!

Go here - reasonable by WDC standards:
Hotel Washington Across from the Treasury Bldg. - Get a high floor and see the top of the WH - Close to everything! Good staff - water pressure sucks! ;-) WI-FI is free!
