Lots of people make lots of money making sure hatred exists between races. Je$$e Jackson, Al $harpton, most of the rappers, etc.

Racism is alive and well because the Black "leaders" want it to be.

Most Caucasians I know could care less what race someone is. As a matter of fact I can only think of two or three truly bigoted Caucasians that I have ever known.

I guess they think God and/or Mother Nature are racist too. Although God and nature weren't responsible for the hurricane. Bush, Cheney, and Halliburton created it.

MLK's dream is still a long way off.

***

The dream was attainable when Dr. King was alive. Since his death, however, his successors have sabotaged that dream so much so that it may never be achieved.

Blacks who have been touched by the disaster are not only donating money but gathering supplies, taking in friends and relatives, even heading south to help shoulder the burden of their people.

WHAT ABOUT HELPING ALL PEOPLE ?

If the rescue effort had not been so mishandled, and if those who suffered so needlessly had not been so black and so poor, perhaps Hurricane Katrina would have been just another destructive storm, alongside the likes of Charley (search) and Andrew (search) and Hugo (search). (There is no Keisha or Kwame.)

FUNNY, I SAW WHITE PEOPLE TOO.

And while 66 percent of blacks think the government's response would have been faster if most of the victims had been white, 77 percent of whites disagreed

THEN I WOULD SAY 77% OF THE WHITE RACE MUST BE INTELLIGENT.

"I think this is one," ayo said. Katrina "is at the central core of black culture and American culture ... I hope this is a turning point of some kind, a turning point for creating a larger community."

NOT AS LONG AS THE IGNORANT KEEP MAKING RACIST REMARKS ABOUT THE WHITE PEOPLE WHO WERE TRYING TO HELP.

I used to joke that someday everything including bad weather would be blamed on racism...now its apparently no joke.

Perhaps a valid question for Je$$ie and $harpton would be not how much they are going to give but how much they hope to make?

If ever there was any "slaveship" symbolism, it is that of the Democrat party and it's hold on black Americans. The race hustlers aka Jackson, Sharpton are the Liberal's trustees or first mates that help to keep black's shackled to the welfare mentality. Katrina's destruction of NO simply opened the side of that Democrat "slaveship" for all to see.

It has been that way for a long time.

"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well." - Booker T. Washington.

MLK's dream is still a long way off.

The Whites have changed their attitudes, it's the Blacks that haven't.
