New Orleans Lady SHUTS CNN'S SOLEDAD O'BRIEN DOWN!!!
CNN ^ | Sept. 8, 2005 | self

Posted on 09/08/2005 5:27:28 AM PDT by Poundstone

Anybody just see this lady in New Orleans SHUT DOWN CNN blabbermouth Soledad O'Brien? It was awesome! The lady (whose name I forgot) said her ancestors settled in New Orleans and she's lived there all her life. She said her neighborhood was high and dry, she had running water, and she wasn't going to evacuate. She blasted CNN and the MSM for showing only shots of flooded New Orleans, saying they weren't showing the parts of the city that were dry and inhabitable. Then she blasted the NO city government for failing to implement its own evacuation plan and evacuate inner-city people using buses. O'Brien tried a few times to rebut the "New Orleans lady," but the lady SHUT HER DOWN and seized control of the interview. In the end, O'Brien agreed to take her TV crew to the lady's neighborhood and show that. This was GREAT!!!

The real Marie Antoinette sits in the Louisiana governor's office.

She looks like an adult... but she has the brain and speech patterns of a 15 year-old.

Is it a property grab? Get the people out and bulldoze the place? Who knows?

Why not? Foist the indigent populace you created on the rest of the country and build a brand-new city where every corrupt politician can have a piece of the action.

The only fly in the ointment is the fact that the same dependent population of NO carried the vote for both Blanco and Landrieu, so the next move is to demand that the displaced be allowed to vote by absentee ballot while the crooks rebuild the city that doesn't want them back.

I saw the interview with the Louisiana lady. She held her own, and further pointed out that her lawyer said she doesn't have to leave, an opinion shared by Judge Napolitano on FOX.

I'd like to see Nagin and Blanco get into a public spat over this. Where is the ACLU?

As to Soledad, she's just a airhead with a pretty face. On the other hand, her new co-anchor, Miles O'Brien, is absolutely vicious. He had another guest on earlier this morning from Angels Flight who stated that they were prevented from coming to LA by incompentent Louisiana officials, not the feds.

We need to compile a list of key players, including Marty Evans of the Red Cross, who have publicly condemned the city and state govt, not the Bush Administration.

A counter-attack is long overdue.

Bill Hemmer is a supercilious twit. As for Soledad, well, how would you like to go through life named after a prison?

They could have directed folks to the closest point the trains could reach once the flood gates were in place and loaded them there, instead of filling up the Superdome with people who would get no supplies.

AMTRAK trains to aid in New Orleans evacuation:

Soledad O'Brien? Another bobblehead that speaks. She's as dumb as a bag of cement.

That comment was rude and out of line.

What do you have against bags of cement? They are actually very useful. How dare you put them in the same sentence.

Soledad was absolutely vicious in her interview with Mike Brown that I saw. She is a vicious airhead. She is still vicious when she sets out to be, and she set out to be in the interview I saw.

I saw that right before I had to take my husband to work. I LOVED every minute of it!

And I loved how the woman pointed out that the city was sending people to the Superdome instead of getting them out of the city. That's a point that needs to be repeated, over and over.

The Houston Chronicle has an excellent article outlining the failures of Local New Orlan's and Louisiana politicians during Hurricane Katrina. It even includes a picture of the unused buses. You may find the article here: http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/special/05/katrina/3344347

I was comparing the moronic Soledad to Hemmer. I still think FNC got the better of the deal. As with the loss of Paula zipperZahn and Greta. FNC got the better of the deal.

Soledad, much like Paula zipperZahn often looks like she just crawled out bed or from under a hay stack.
