***The fact is conservatives have decided to give billions of dollars in tax cuts to the wealthy, rather than making sure our states can handle emergencies. Conservatives are more concerned with capital formation and economic efficiency than they are with ensuring that every citizen is taken care of. ...***
A fine Hillary wannabe. Yesterday Rush played an audio clip of Hillary dodging a question by wailing about tax breaks for the wealthy.
Of course missed by these political spinners is that Bush's tax cuts have stimulated the economy - unemployment is way down, revenues are way up.
And from watching the evacuation coverage, we all can see how the Democratic Party welfare state has taken care of the poor. It's crippled them.

I am talking about good old Ronald Reagan conservatism.
There hasn't been a "Ronald Reagan" conservative republican party since Bush one took over.
To: Cincinatus' Wife
unfortunately conservatism has just put a small dent in the destruction that liberalism (i really should say socialism) has caused to this country
the effects of this storm has magnified this and anybody that opines differently is in incurable denial

Let's see. Why is more responsible for people sitting on their butts in a giant bathtub while a level 5 hurricane came towards their City waiting for the Govt to come save them?
Red States who focus on individual responsibility or Blue State who demand Govt assume responsibility to take care of the individual?
YES, New Orleans did prove the complete bankruptcy of one modern political philosophy. Unfortunately for this ignorant twit, it is not Big Govt Statism but not Conservatism that failed.

What is truly amazing is these people really believe this crappola...Good is bad, up is down, black is white, no wait, it's all grey.
It must be so ridiculously frustrating for sensible dems to see their party cater to the moronic idiots that have essentially come along and destroyed the party.
In our local paper in the editorial section there are still complete moonbat maniacs who think 911 was a Bush conspiracy...
It's mindboggling.

Someone needs to remind this jacka$$ that in good progressive/socialist France a couple of years ago how many elderly died of heat exhaustion when left home during the government sanctioned month vacation during the summer.
That is lib, elite compassion for us all to learn from I guess.

Conservatives are more concerned with capital formation and economic efficiency than they are with ensuring that every citizen is taken care of. The utopian dream in a nutshell. W's rolodex with 280,000,000 + names in it and he calls them every morning.

In this country, conservative leadership promotes a culture of individualism so extreme that it reaches the point of state-sanctioned selfishness. It must suck to be so totally, utterly, absolutely, positively confused.

Interesting, in that it gives us a peek into the socialist tripe that is pumped into the empty heads of today's spoiled little students with no actual life experience. Thank God, I came from a poor background, had to work my way through college, and wasn't ruined by my education; although I did get some grief occasionally for arguing with my leftist professors, but it never stopped me from doing it.
It really is quite a collection of unsubstantiated allegations, leftist cliches, and outright twaddle. If it's conservatism that is responsible for the squalid lives of the black people in New Orleans, then why is it that now that they are here (I'm in Dallas), they are marveling at how clean, hospitable, kind and efficient everyone is? Maybe they're agog because it's the first time they've been forced to venture off the Democratic welfare plantation run by the corrupt clowns in Louisiana and gotten a glimpse of what life can be like when you live in a state built on self-reliance, with a government run by Republicans.

Psychologists once performed an experiment on some people; they had them wear glasses that inverted their view of everything. After wearing them a while, it seemed just as though everything was right side up.
Liberal ideology is like those glasses. People who wear it for a while think that black is white, conservatives are liberal and Bush is Clinton.
They need help, but not the kind of help they think they need.

Many conservatives have no sense of community or responsibility for the less fortunate. Republicans are more likely to condemn victims of extreme poverty rather than sympathize with them. What a stunningly ignorant little drunken fratboy.
It is conservative who are the BACKBONE of charity and community -- but we shouldn't let facts get in the way of yet one more idiotic liberal rant.

Republicans are more likely to condemn victims of extreme poverty rather than sympathize with them. When they are more concerned with stealing jewelry or big screen TVs or raping people in the Superdome, you're DAMN RIGHT I am going to condemn them!!!
