Oprah is wrong....the nation doesn't owe anyone an apology.
Blanco and Nagin owe their constituents the apology for not getting them out of New Orleans BEFORE Katrina struck.

And for not letting the Red Cross come into the Superdome with food, water & sanitary supplies the day after Katrina moved on.

Their two acts of negligence contributed to the deaths & suffering our fellow Americans.

The liberals have a real problem here. A city of 62% black population has experienced real hell and the predominently black local government of that city failed in its' responsibilities. The libs have to place blame elsewhere for obvious reasons. It serves them no useful purpose for the truth to come out that idiocy and incompetence are not racially discriminate, that they crosses racial lines and that a black beauracracy can be just as inept as a white beauracracy.

This is the typical racism that liberals always engage in while accusing others of it.

I made a donation to the Salvation Army but in the future I plan on being very selective as to where my money goes.

There are plenty of smaller organizations that are already taking in evacuees where you can donate money and know that at least 95% of it will go directly to those who need it. I know the Red Cross has done some restructuring, but after their 9/11 fiasco, I prefer to give my money where I can be confident of what it will be used for.

Her HELP is self promoting. I owe NO ONE an apology. SHE owes them one because SHE could have sent buses or help out of her own pocket and didn't until there was something in it for her. Does she not have a TV? Could she not see a hurricane was coming towards these people ahead of time? Oh, but she expects everyone else to have foresaw it. HIPPOCRITE.She is just showing her ignorance and Americans with an ounce of intelligence are laughing at her. Who in the hell does she think she is? Obviously just as uneducated as Nagin is.
