BELLINGHAM, Wash. - A man turned himself in to authorities in the killing of two convicted child rapists, saying he picked the victims from a sheriff's Web site, police said.
Michael Anthony Mullen, 36, called 911 on Monday to claim responsibility for the killings, and officers who talked to him said he gave information that only the killer would know, according to a police news release. He was jailed for investigation of two counts of first-degree murder.
Hank Eisses, 49, and Victor Vasquez, 68, were found shot to death at their apartment Aug. 27. They were both classified as Level III sex offenders, considered the type most likely to reoffend. Sex offenders in Washington are required to register with local authorities, and the information is provided on the Web.
Mullen told authorities he targeted at least one of the two men after checking the county sheriff's Web site July 13, according to the police statement.
The bodies of Eisses and Vasquez were found by a roommate, also a sex offender. He said a man wearing a blue jumpsuit and a cap that said FBI on it came to their home, told them he was an FBI agent and said one of them was on a "hit list" on an Internet site, police said.
The roommate said he left while the "FBI" visitor was still there and found the bodies when he returned about four hours later.
Days after the killings, The Bellingham Herald received an unsigned letter claiming responsibility for the killings. Police notified convicted Level 3 sex offenders in the area as a precaution, but said the letter was vague and could be a hoax.
Here is how Washington State deals with these vermin.

I wish he would have continued to take the trash
out until he got cornered...*then* he should've
given himself up...not before. :-)
Apparently, his concience got to him.
The state of Washington website DOES NOT give you exact addresses. The only tell you the 100 block where he/she lives. i.e. 46xx 138th St.
Watch for this on an upcoming episode of Law and Order with a few "artistic license" switcheroos. The "perp" will be transformed into a white supremacist/religious wacko and the "victims" will change to innocent Muslim students mistakenly profiled and placed on some terrorist watch website.
That I did not do. (I was the class geek, no self respecting HS gal wanted to be seen with me) However, half my high school was doing such. His life was ruined. Fortunately my fellow classmates lives were not.
As Meatloaf sings...
"Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad"
They need to charge him with impersonating a law enforcement officer. The prosecutor can say that the murder charges would have confused the jury and led to a hung jury - so by focusing on the impersonation charge they will get a conviction. Hey, that kind of stuff is done all the time...
Third choose... Change the constitution. Get rid of the cruel and unusual clause, and items forbidding retroactive punishment. Revoke the release of all of the child rapists (and many other sexual predators). Apply the death penalty to repeat sexual predators.
Huh? What info?
Let me tell you folks a story that happened to my granddaughter..K and her mother were in Wal-Mart one afternoon and P was looking for something I don't remember what.but K ask her mom if she could go over and look at magazines on the next isle..Well P is a very protective mother like I always was but didn't think that anything could happen to K being that close to her..Anyway,P watched and then all of a sudden this man was standing beside K and just staring at her looking her up and down..P ran over to the next isle and told the man get away from my daughter,so he left..P and k went home and P decided to look on the inter net for child molesters in her area..There he was and he was living right there in their town..I think this is something that should stay on the inter net.Just think if my daughter had not of been watching her daghter what could have happened..So folks don't let your children get to far from you while shopping or let them just go down the street to a friends alone..
As far as I am concerned this man did us all a favor by getting rid of those monsters..And as a mother and grandmother I can tell you if any of my children were ever molested by one of these creeps they might as well kiss their butts goodbye because I would go after them in a heart beat...
This is bad news. The ACLU will be filing a suit to have all the various sex offenders web sites removed all over the country, and the liberal judges will go along with it.
Sometimes I despair of decency ever getting a break.
Why not set up a nonprofit organization that collects money to build halfway houses in nice neighborhoods where these sex offenders can rehabilitate more easily.
The "houses" can be placed next door to the judges who want to give them more chances. That way, when they rape a child, or bury one alive, it can be the judges grandchild or his neighbors children who are at risk. How soon do you think these liberal judges would change the law if they had to live with what they impose on the rest of us?
Let the dem elites who "care" about child rapists have the joy of having the pervs for their neighbors.
My guest is that he thought that he would be celebrated as a hero, as many posters here seem to feel.
But that would require that his identity be known, so he obliged by turning himself in.
Now he can look forward to televised trials, defense funds, newspaper and other media acticles, etc, etc, etc.
This is probably about the libs watering down the offender lists and making them rather worthless. Hey aren't many liberals themselves offenders?
"No one can argue with you: murder is indeed murder. However, not all killings are murders"
Yeah, it's only murder when you start out with a premeditated plan to kill two people. Murder is still murder. Some of the computer cowboys out there in Freeper land should cool their fantasies.
I doubt that is the type that got executed, any word on the details of their crimes? Yes... I agree some of the convicts put on those registries are not in the same category.
