LA Times reporting NOPD shot and killed 2 others that attacked a deputy doing SAR operations
good....sadly though most will just melt away
Yep. Even the Cubans, Hondurans, and Nicaraguans went to Jeff Parish, particularly Metairie. It's telling that the St. Joseph's festival (the main Italian festa) has been held in Jeff Parish since the 1980s.
I believe that the New Orleans Police Department has made a rather serious error. Again.
I know what you`re thinking.Did he fire six shots or only five?Well to tell you the truth,in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you`ve got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? Well,do ya,punk?
Stand Up And Be Counted For What You Are About To Receive
Nobody left them there. They left themselves there. And the city decided not to physically organize an evacuation before the storm of the 100,000 or so who didn't get themselves out because they didn't have a car.
So why is it the president's fault when the city and the state decided they couldn't move them?
Is the president supposed to override the power of a governor when it's the governor's call?
If she wanted the president to be responsible, she would have had to let Fema take over. And she didn't want that. She wanted Fema to do what her people said. So, on her head be it.
AP's first report was stated in err. The actual truth is: Thugs shot at the volunteers, the police killed 2 of the thugs, criticially wounded 1, and injured 3, according to Fox.
If the AP was more interested in telling the truth and getting things right, rather than hurrying to report their bias....I doubt this kind of misinformation would have been in black and white.
While it's highly likely that they were, this is NOLA after all, but that same fact means it's also highly likely the police that shot them were also black.
I predict the NAACP and ACLU won't say boo.
Happy Trails to some New Orleans residents who had their criminal careers cut short.
;-)
I'm sure that saved us millions in:
fewer food stamps to dole out
less welfare to dole out
fewer cells to maintain
fewer college degrees to pay for (while in prison)
fewer parole officers required
fewer patrolmen to raid their public housing homes
frees up public housing for others
less medical subsidy
less loss through theft at local businesses (saving consumers where it matters most)
etc, etc.
Or, we could say it's a shame that the poor people had to be shot, when we could have just used diplomacy.....
They are, at the Astrodome.
"Or, we could say it's a shame that the poor people had to be shot, when we could have just used diplomacy....."
What gets me is this:
"Police shot and killed at least five people Sunday after gunmen opened fire on a group of contractors traveling across a bridge on their way to make repairs, authorities said."
What in the world were those cretins thinking, shooting at people who are there to make life possible?
Let me get my tinfoil hat on, here...is there more to this than simple barbarity and stupidity? I mean, even Homer Simpson has enough sense to put a doughnut into his mouth instead of his eye.
Could any small part of this be politically motivated? Could there be agents provocateur trying to inflame the situation?
These people have received years of rally cries from the far left to "rise up" against the wealthy and authority figures. Anyone with a job represented someone with wealth. Anyone in uniform represented authority. Why shouldn't they hate rescue workers or contractors? These people represent everything they have been taught to hate by the Clintons, the Kennedy-klan, Jesse Jackson, and other high-profile leftists/marxists.
I am sure they will be remembered as martyrs in their public housing areas.
May I guess that the crime was carrying a gun in a city out of control? If I was in NO, I would have a gun.
